Is anyone else attending the Costa Ludus CET1 course being held Wiscassett Rod and Gun this August? There's got to be at least a couple members from the htf going, right?

I will be!  I'll be the 6'4" blonde with a beard and 11.5" SBR.

Would really like to but can't make it. The company running it is phenomenal, A-1 all the way.

How was it? I wanted to go but couldn't get the funds to go.

Besides quite a few rifles going down hard on the first day, it was a good class.

I learned a lot from the class and really enjoyed it. Chris not only taught weapons manipulation but mindset as well; which I really enjoyed. Chris was able to relate what was taught to military personnel, law enforcement members and civilians.

If anyone here attends one of his classes in the future I highly recommend bringing a small notebook and taking as many notes as possible.

All the Weaponcraft guys were great and I would definitely take one of their classes in the future.

I got to walk away from a great experience with a lot of great info that I can build off of.
I'd definitely recommend taking this class to anyone who wants to improve their abilities with an AR.

Sounded like a great event.. we'll have to definitely start saving up now to be ready for the next one. Plus it's just down the road from me.

What brands or models were they, if you have that info available it would be great to hear about it.

Most were frankenguns.  I for one had a mostly KAC spec built 11.5" SBR.  I used an LMT Enhanced bolt and it looks like the bolt lugs had failed.  Locked into battery, and Chris had to mortar it to get it unlocked.  Even then, he had to use a screwdriver to open the action fully.  I was using Federal xm193 (real federal not AE.)

Some other guys had Bushmasters, Colts, and a BCM go down.  We all think it was mostly due to bad ammo.

I took my buddies DD lightweight as backup.  Ran like a champ, with 1800+ rounds through the pipe in 2 1/2 days.  Never jammed once, just kept adding lube.

Mine was the BCM. It was due to steel cased ammo Once the chamber cooled down I knocked it out with a cleaning rod. Chris did mention that way more guns went down in that class than usual. Probably a combination of bad ammo and franken guns as previously stated.

Yea I was kinda irked.  The 1000 rounds of PMC X-tac ran fine.  The premium federal stuff chugged a lot. even on my buddies DD.

Chris kept giving me shit about my mag carrier.  "Dude, I don't think you'll have to reload a single mag during class..."
