This is the pre-announcement for the Concealed Carry Tactics Course on Sunday, March 13th, at our usual range near the ATL airport.

This course is suitable of all skill levels, but it is not for those who have never fired a handgun before.  Please consider our Introduction to Pistol course before attending this course if you're truly a new shooter.  If you have attended any of my previous handgun courses, then you are qualified for this course.

Course topics will include

Discussion of various concealment options
High Performance Grip (both freestyle and strong hand only)
Drawing from concealment
Cover/ Off-Line Movement
Tactics for defeating multiple adversaries
One hand fighting techniques
Flashlight manipulation techniques
Extreme Close Quarters fighting techniques

Cost will be $125, due on the morning of the course at registration.

The official course annoucement will be posted Wed, Feb 2nd at 8pm.

I might have an excuse to head to ATL for the wife to visit her brother.   How many rounds should be brought?

I don't have a tacticool flashlight, can I bring my 12" maglite?
Seriously though, all I have is a G2 Surefire (I think that's what it's called), good enough?

No, this is not the sign up, just the pre-announcement.  The official sign-up with all the information will be posted tomorrow night at 8pm in another thread.  That will be the official sign-up thread.

Gear will include concealed carry pistol with spare mags.  Holsters you intend on using.  If you have both strong side and inside the waist holsters...I would bring both.  A jacket and a large T-shirt covering garment.  A fighting flashlight and all the normal range gear you would bring.

500 rounds should be enough.

Yes, the G2 Surefire light will work perfectly.  We will not be doing any low-light shooting, but we will be working on flashlight manipulation techniques during the day.
