It almost restores my faith in America again.

Man Who Shot Robber In Bar Won't Face Charges

McKinney Not Indicted By Grand Jury

CINCINNATI -- A man who shot a robbery suspect in a local bar last week will not face charges.

A grand jury declined to indict Harold McKinney of Northside, WLWT Eyewitness News 5 reported. He shot one of two young robbery suspects at Junkers Tavern on Langland Avenue in Northside last Thursday.

Police said Person and Demico Hester, both 18, came into the bar armed with handguns.

According to investigators, Joseph Person and Demico Hester, both 18, entered the bar with handugns. Person reportedly pointed a gun at a 68-year-old woman who was tending bar and said, "This is robbery. Nobody move. Give us the (expletive) money."

McKinney, 54, then shot Person in the head moments later, according to WLWT.

McKinney, a member of Northside Citizens on Patrol, originally faced charges of having a weapon inside a liquor establishment and felonious assault.

The fact that this is news and we are celebrating is sad. This is how this should always turn out.

Well at least that 'someone' was the perp and not a bystander.

Nothing wrong with a perp getting what he deserves.

What might have been part of this........If the police hadn't arrested him, part of the robbers defense might be to try and discredit him claiming he committed a crime, which was ignored.............blah, blah, blah, The Police are PICKING on my clients. They carried guns into a bar, so what so did HE.

The no-bill kinda kills that little argument. Tough to say a person committed a crime if a Grand Jury says NO.
