That is where I usually shoot.
If anybody knows of another place let me know.

I also shoot at the range at Sulpher Rock outside Batesville.  If there is anybody from northcentral Arkasas that shoots there then let me know.

If we go to Mayflower, we better do it before the place is packed with muzzleloaders and deer rifles.

Last year I went there on the the weekend before modern gun opened.  I had a hour wait to get a  lane.  I will say one good thing about the mayflower range.  I have seen them remove the dumbasses out of there before.  If you can live with the one shot pr second rule it is a nice range.

It is absolutely beautiful, these pics do NOT do it justice.  All the serial numbers match and it hasn't been refinished.....smells a LOT like cosmoline

Glad your new toy arrived, has anyone made up their mind when and where we are going to do this.
I'm going to Mayflower next weekend to site a few guns in.

If someone has some land that is big enough I would like to suggest meet and greet, shooting, BBQ/cookout , some brews then we could sit around and tell sea stories. Swap meet, trade parts and pieces, tech help from the wiser ones, and maybe pull in together for some ammo buys part buys or group gun buys.   The shooting part does not have to be a match, there are some fun gun shoot formats with bowling pins, milk jugs, plates and stuff.  I'll even bring trash bags so we can clean up our mess.   Maybe this could become a regular event.  We could even look at camping out a night, rv, tent or what ever incase there is too much brew to make it back to the world safe.

Check the thrift shops for bag sales and buy all the plates and saucers that you can fit into a bag.
Save plastic milk jugs, fill them with water, not sure were to get bowling pins.  Just a few thoughts.

In the amateur radio clubs I have belonged to in the past this kind of thing was fun execpt we spent time talking on radios instead of shooting.  Just like shooting there were serious contestants and others who were there just for the fun and fellowship.

Well, guess we need to kick it around some more, wish I had 40 or more acers out in the country, I'd say do it at my place, but alas my friends I live in town.

+1  unfortunately, we don't have the land to set up targets at 200+ yards.  no family with that kind of land either.

Please let us get together anywhere but Mayflower.

Too rigid.  The rangemasters can be real jerks.  If you show up with ammunition already loaded into magazines they will ask you to leave and not come back for the rest of the day.  You may not fire more than one shot per second.

Not very conducive to a group of people unfortunately.  There are numerous National Forest ranges here in Arkansas.  I suggest we look at those.
