Anybody know how the new Cards stadium stands with disabled access? I can't find any info on the net about it.

I don't know what sort of disability you are talking about, but my brother who is physically disabled and needs a cane to walk gets around just fine. If you call ahead, the Cards would be accommodating I'm sure.

Wheelchairs are no problem at all. No way does the team want bad press about that.

dude its fine...trust me

usually anything where 50+ thousand people gather at a time will be 120% accessable

Thanks guys. Wheelchairman sounds like we have something in common! I can walk about 20 or 30 feet but I need my wheels for more than that.

My biggest concern is the ticket costs. Is every "cost level" wheelchair accessible?

I'm not even a fan of the sport that much but I have a 3 year old grand son without a father that needs to be exposed.

I was kind of surprised that no mention was made in the Cards web site.

Any way thanks a bunch.

http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/stl/ballpark/ballpark_guide.jsp There's something under "Escorts/Fan Assistance".

The year they opened the new stadium I went to one of the first games on a standing room only ticket. I found a great spot to watch the game. In front of where I was standing there was a nice sized open area that was reserved for disabled/handicapped persons, who could pull in there with a wheelchair or use a folding type chair that was provided by the stadium iirc. Those small open areas are all over the stadium iirc.

So I think a person who could use some help can get a ride to regular seats, or get to one of the open areas in his/her own wheelchair. I think this is correct, but it would be best to call and ask.

all levels have the pull in wheelchair spots IIRC. The workers patrol who goes in there pretty good
