I totally forgot able ARCOM having a hometown section. At the end of the month I will be moving back to Central Florida. Wooo! I lived there for about 3 years (2005-2008) and had to end up moving back to MD where I came from due to family issues. Since I moved back to MD in 2008 I realized how much I miss the FL lifestyle. I am a sunshine kind of person. I am so tired of shoveling snow and being cold. Much rather be hot and sweating then freezing. I was there about a month ago to clean up our house from the previous renters and could not have been happier. It was 60s-70s in the day and cool in the evening. Perfect weather. I know the heat will be there soon but to be honest it doesnt bother me.
Im really looking forward to getting a house of my own. I currently live with my parents since housing in MD is outrageous even with the market the way it is. I have been looking at property in FL and cant believe how cheap the market is. Im hoping to finish out my college and either find a technical job or get on with a Fire Dept. I am currently a certified FF/EMT but there are basically no jobs here due to budget cuts. Since I have some family in FL with connections to the Fire Dept hopefully I can find a decent job quickly. Does anyone have an idea on how Law Enforcement jobs are down there? I have really been debating on going back to the Academy to try and become a police officer. Just wanted to say hey to the fellow Floridians! Cant wait to be back
