I have a laptop that I traded for a few months ago, which then crashed about a month later. At this point, it's nothing more than a door stop, and I'd really like to get it repaired. I've been out of work for some time and have been told by the folks at the Geek Squad (Best Buy) that I'll need to have some diagnostic tests run, etc. to get it up and running, but the repair bill be around $150.00. Would anyone here be willing able to do the repair for gun related gear for trade, e.g. ammo, knives, etc.?

Quoted:
What doesnt work on it?

-Windows 98 operating system on a Dell Latitude CPx

-Screen starts with "Bios revision"
-Then opens in Safe Mode
-Then pop up window "Cannot detect Devices in Safe Mode..."
-Then running Scan Disk...
-Then "Invalid VxD dynamic link call to device..."

All of these steps flashed by in about three minutes. I couldn't type fast enough to fill it all in, before it shut itself down.
