I want first ar15.

no pre ban because of the extra $$

should i do a build or buy a factory rifle? whats the cost build vs factory?

what gun shop?

I want a 16 inch barrel, A2 stock, prem carry handle iron sights

can i do this for 750 - 850?

That price can be done eith build or used maybe even new.. Depends on where you are in CT but JoJo's and Newington Gun Exchange are great to deal with..

Call Newington Gun Exchange and ask if they have any used post ban uppers in stock.

You can also go with a post-ban "kit" from Sherluk or a variety of other outlets.  All you need is a stripped lower on top of that.



Putting them together is pretty simply.  Maybe an Arfcommer in your area can help you out.

if you shop the site and buy some used components you should be able to something together starting around $450.00 on up

You can pick up a stripped lower just about anywhere. I got mine from Hoffman's. The rest can be ordered online - I picked up everything I needed from "Legal-Transfers" on the equipment exchange here. Hes got good prices and is located in NH so the shipping was quick. Building your own is pretty easy, and there are several guides available in the forums here. Good Luck!

I got my lower from Hoffman's too, but mine was complete (it's my first/only AR so far, so I wanted a factory assembled lower).
