which is why they have the "Officer" class. That's where the Officers compete.

Don't know about you guys, but i'm actually RELIEVED he knew what he was doing! I shot it once several years ago when they had classes--must've been 4 years ago? and some of the cops out there were downright crappy--having trouble out of the holster, not knowing what to do with a GLOCK jam, and of course, lack of accuracy.  There was one guy, I can't remember his name but it was Italian--was quite the speed demon and damn accurate.  I wouldn't doubt it if was the same guy you saw.

i wouldn't worry too much about it, Wolfpack.  I've learned that as good of a shot as i think I am, there's always someone better

ETA: i shot B class.  That's some balls to say "yep, put me in A class, please."

Quoted:
Chiz, it was just the fact that it was supposed to be a shoot for civilians to have fun and compete. It would be the same as if all of us regular working guys got together and Joe or Jim showed up with target pistols aganist us with our sub compacts that we CCW with......God himself couldn't beat them in that scenario.

Can't comment on Joe, but you haven't actually seen Jim shoot, have you?

It's fun to have a challenge. When I did Boulder's 3 gun matches, i used the only shotgun I owned--a 6+1 Mossy 590 PUMP gun against the 10 shot tubed 1100s.  I've always disliked game guns in those kinds of matches

ETA: Better to have seen the guy Wolf did on the street than THIS officer:

I'm not a member, but I'm very familiar with the matches and the members. I actually used to be one of the Cadets that ran out and painted the steel between matches.

Also, being a Police Officer is nothing more than a job. they work 40 hours a week just like the rest of us. I think they are entitled to be "regular guys" off duty. If he happens to be required to qualify 4 times a year, that doesnt change anything. Police Officers are only trained to shoot once. It's up to them to keep up on their skills unless they're in a specialized unit.
