Just submitted my application using the electronic fingerprint system.
I'm told this speeds up the process a bit? Or am I still looking at 90 days? First got my CCW back in VA some 10 years ago. Been living here since early '04 without one so I decided it's time to get on it.

You should have your permit in about 10-14 days

I only wonder if they're being inundated with apps due to the recent shooting. |

Mine was door to door in 17 days, but that was with A TExas CCW already in hand, don't know if that had anything to do with the fast turn or not

Anyone here teach the course required for CCW? I want my wife and I to take it but don't want to just find a teacher (some are crap).

Yeah, I think there was a sign up at the WEB 50-100 Yd Rifle range for a course....right AIM????? |

All you need if proof of firearms safety training anyone with a NRA basic handgun Instructors certification can do it. Even hunters ed qualifies. If you're anywhere near Tallahassee I can do it for you |

Yep, I used hunter's ed in VA and down here for CCW.
Took the class almost 11 years ago. |

If you're near central Florida, goto www.shootsharp.com My girlfriend and I took his class, he was great. I had experience with guns before going, she didn't. She learned alot, and I was not bored out of my mind like I had expected to be. He also teaches how to clean the guns, which is great. Now I make my girlfriend clean them all! |
