Can I?
What if the SAIGA is modified with pistol grip?

What about AK, SKS and AR-15?

Yes, to your original question.

No, to the rest.  Unless the AR-15 is chambered in .458 SOCOM.

I would suggest you going to a local sporting goods store or Wal-Mart and picking up a rules and regs book

I have been using a Saiga .410 in Indiana for 7 years.

Have the .410s been legal for that long?

What if the SAIGA-12 is modified with pistol grip? Is there a limit to how many rounds magazine?

You can use a Saiga shotgun for any hunting that allows a shotgun regardless of its "evil" features, and there are no magazine restrictions either.

No magazine restrictions for deer, maybe, but there's a 3-round limit when hunting migratory game birds or waterfowl.

How is it that I, the non-hunter, have to correct you of all people on this??

Remember, there are bird, squirrel, and rabbit hunters.

True that.

Exactly.  I bought the gun on a whim, it was less than $150 and had 10 round mags, the mags shortly there after were worth more then the gun.

Anyway, I tossed it in the truck that first year and met with some old hunting buddies for a rabbit hunt and whipped out this beast.  It points amazingly fast, like any saiga.  Hunting is why I have kept that gun in stock condition.  Not my first choice but fun for a change of pace and keeps me from beating up my Winchester model 42 when I am in a ".410 mood."  I have never used it on deer as I deer hunt in KY........................with my AR's.

Saigas are a great gun and a modified saiga would make a good camp gun.  I use an 870 with knoxx folder as my beater shotgun in deer camp.  A saiga 12 is on my "buy list" for a project gun.  I want one in case I ever have to thank the good lord if they ever approve SBR's here!

Since I don't waterfowl hunt, it was easy to overlook this small detail. Kind of like buckfever34 overlooking the .410's use for game other than deer.

I may have to cure that "non-hunter" issue for you one of these days. You'd like to have a freezer full of deer meat for the wife and son that you killed yourself, wouldn't you?

Non hunter?   I call Bullshit.  He hunted doves once

FYI there are shit loads of doves out my new back door.  BB guns are all we need, dog is ready to rock!

It would've felt more like hunting if the doves had actually shown up...
