We will be having an editor from a local gun magazine attend this class and will be doing an article on this Carbine class. He is very pro training and firearms and has a lot of local dealers and suppliers advertise in his magazine.

Rods and Guns

Anyone not wanting their picture taken will be excluded from any photos or if you want to discuss it further, please feel free to contact me directly.

Still some slots open for this class.

Privi M193 1K rounds for $330.01 shipped (I have 10,000 + rounds of this through my rifles - AWESOME stuff)

Does the carbine have to be a rifle caliber?

How about 9mm semiauto sub-guns?
Are electronic sights a must?

can you switch guns during the day?

How much down time will there be?

Any plans on lunch or dinner, or is everyone fending for them selves?

It can be any caliber you'd like and you may switch them out as many times as you'd like during the class to.

There will be a hour lunch and dinner break during the class and each person will need to bring their own food or you will have enough time to go out and get some food from the local Wal-Mart.

There will be very little down time as we have a lot to get through and I like students to get their moneys worth in those 2 days of training.

This class has been canceled due to unforeseen reasons. I was notified this morning by the host (Miami02TJ) that there are workers / engineers working in the quarry behind the range which has affected the range use over the weekend and us using it for this class.

Miami02TJ is trying to find a new range for this class and we will reschedule the class very soon. As soon as I hear something, I will contact everyone who was registered to attend this carbine class.

I know that a lot of you were looking forward to the class including myself and I apologize for any inconvenience that it may have caused you.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions but I will be emailing everyone again once I have more details and new dates set.

Once again, my apologies for this mishap. It is out of our hands at this time and we are trying to make things right with new training facilities.

Wade Rorich

is the class full yet? if not i'd like to try to attend once the schedule is worked out.
Link Posted: 3/6/2008 3:29:35 PM EST
Not yet, we do have 1 slot left when we reschedule it. You can register once the date it set.
Link Posted: 3/6/2008 4:21:59 PM EST
I need to add my apology here guys. I was notified by the range owner late last night of the situation myself.

My sincerest apology to everyone ....

I am disappointed... but Hey, if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be hosting one locally. Thank you

I am all loaded up, I hope I can make the next date!
Link Posted: 3/7/2008 6:27:30 AM EST

On the bright side, gives me more time to stockpile some additional ammo.
Link Posted: 3/7/2008 6:55:37 AM EST
shi'ite happens. hopefully we can get this rescheduled ASAP.

I'm not opposed to a bit of a drive & a hotel stay if the only range we can get on short notice isn't local.

Crossing my fingers for next weekend ...

What we need is ... permission to use one of those rock/sand quarries on a weekend!
Link Posted: 3/9/2008 6:24:49 PM EST
Looks like we won't have any luck with Henry's. How about Universal Shooting Academy's range up in Lakeland. They have an excellent facility. Would it be ok with everybody? Its only 2-3 hours drive from Miami and we need to stay in a local hotel on saturday night. I don't know any other places... If it is all right with everybody I can talk to Frank (the owner) about the availability...
Link Posted: 3/9/2008 6:38:36 PM EST
There are no options closer than that? ... even to our west?
Link Posted: 3/9/2008 7:01:13 PM EST
See what we can find out about any range available for next weekend and the costs involved to use them please.

Make sure that they allow movement drills and all the rest.

IM or email me directly once you find out, thanks to everyone helping out to find a range for this class.

What's the deal with the Turkey Point range?
Do they only let LEO use it?

I see SAI is advertising an Advanced Combat Carbine Course there in May.

"We" might not be able to arrange it, but maybe Wade can use his credentials, and keep the course roster confidential.

Miami02TJ has managed to find us a range to use in the Ft Lauderdale area.

This class has been rescheduled for April 18 - 19, 2008. It is a Friday and a Saturday as that is the ONLY time that we could get the use of the range.

Pop Dean's Hunt Club
6101 U.S. 27
South West Ranches, FL
33332.

This should give everyone enough time to schedule a day off from work if that is at all possible for the Friday.

Please contact me if you have any questions. An email will be going out to everyone already signed up for the class.

See you all then.

Yes its only available to LEO ...

But the class is only available to LEO or Active .mil

I would never ask Wade to put himself or his company out there like that ...

Either way -- we have a range and the class has been resched ...

For a good satellite image of the new location that would help with directions and lodging go to: tinyurl.com/2nmuzo

If that link does not work go to:

www.google.com/maps

And then type the following in the search box: 26.041896,-80.43543

I would suggest you choose the satellite view to make it easier ...

So far the new dates should work for me. I'm actually glad the course is going to be at Pop's. It's less of a drive for me, and IMO the range is better suited for a course.
