Any place to get a brass hammer and roll pin punches in Vegas rather than doing mail order? I checked Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.

Sears *used* to carry them individually, now they only have a set with several sizes that are WAY too large for what's needed in the AR.

Harbor Freight has some brass hammers, but i think they are one or two pounders.

Snap-On or Matco might have them in the trucks. trying to flag one down may be the problem.

I'll try True value, that is close to home.

I checked harbor freight online--they have brass punches, but I didn't see the hammer. What's the ideal weight for the hammer?

McFadden-Dale Industrial Hardware should have everything you need.

They are on Reno, just west of Arville. They won't be open until tuesday morning however.

Hammer weight depends on what size of punch you are smacking - and your personal preference & "feel".
