Jollyroger, Luckypunk, Ryfter and I went out shooting by Blacks Creek last weekend. I think it turned out pretty good, it was hotter than blazes but that’s Idaho in August. What does everyone think about setting up another shoot date, Saturdays are usually best for me, but I'm flexible.

I'm gonna have to work on my bump firing.........

Hey Spiff

How about asking the site staff/mod for an Idaho forum or at least a tack?

...although this hometown doesn't move too fast...and an Idaho forum we'd have all to ourselves.

Sat. is good for me too.

If everyone thinks that tacking this thread would make more visible, I'm for it.

This Saturday isn't good for me, I have to take the kids to the fair or I'll have a mutiny on my hands. And I'm working/busy every night the rest of this week (school and upgrading the network at work). So how about the 3rd?

The 3rd is good for me.

I just need to figure a way to justify buying a pistol before then

3rd works for me as well, did you guys want to meet at the shell again?

With upland game about to open, anyone up for some birding? I really like quail, chukar, pheasant type hunts. I don't have a dog but with more than 1 person you can flush them up well enough.

That being said I bagged a nice muley last season

but this year I want to go after a whitetail.

I'd be in for some bird hunting. No dog here either, but as you said, with a few guys you can really cover a lot of terrain.

You sure dont look very happy in that picture for having bagged a real nice buck!

I was really friggin pooped in that picture. All I wanted to do was go to sleep...not lift that biatch up on the skinning hooks and get busy. boned out to 75lbs.

Anyone doing some shooting tomorrow?

Jollyroger? get the new upper yet?
Link Posted: 9/17/2005 4:48:07 PM EDT
Yup got the new upper, it's awesome. The quality seems to be really good, and its a lot more pleasant to carry and shoot, due in part to the lighter weight and the longer handguards. I took it out yesterday about 1pm, put 300 or so rounds through it. It seems to be pretty accurate, but I was ony shooting at soda bottles about 100 yrds away. I didnt have any failures of any kind.
I did hear something that at first I thought it might have been the round spinning apart, I would shoot; Boom and then a sssshhhhhh sound. I think it was just skipping my round of the rocks. I was just paranoid about the 1:7 thing I guess. But all is well with the new upper.

No shooting for me tomorrow, got to work pretty early in the morning. But we'll all have to get together again soon
