Has anyone taken a blind person shooting?

Just wondered if you had any tips to make it enjoyable. Rifle? Pistol? Targets? Full auto?

Not shooting...  but driving.

I doubt you would have to do anything special to make it enjoyable. The person will probably just love doing something that blind folks are commonly excluded from. I would think at least one rifle that kicks might add a little to the experience.

Atleast a blind person never misses what they are aiming at.

I put a junk radio on a 55 gal drum about 50 ft out and let my friend go at it with a .22 auto
rifle off the sand bags... I asked him to "aim" a little low.

The smile he had from ringing the drum was the best!

But he did kill the radio!

I had a blind housebound friend that passed away last year.  He wanted to go shooting, but could not get that far away from home to do it.  A pellet handgun and rifle was not the same at all.

Do you folks even have the slightest idea how cool just wanting to take a blind person out to do stuff they normally would never be asked to do is?  When I took my friend Tom for a spin around the block on my motorcycle, he was laughing so much he almost puked and passed out.  No one had ever asked him to do anything like that before, not even when he was a kid (overprotective parents would have put a stop to that anyways.  Part of the reason why he died so young.)

You folks just flat out fuckin' rock.  I wanted you to know that.
