:UPDATED: My appointment is next tuesday the 15th. I am going to get the actual surgery done... Total cost: 3800 bucks. The surgeon's first name is Amy but unsure of her last name. This lady has supposedly done 17000+ cases.

I am going to have lasik in the next few months.

I have narrowed it to two choices:

Birmingham: Dr. Sara Hays
Huntsville: Dr. William Mitchell

My Nephew had it done with Dr. Mitchell and I'm leaning towards him, simply because I really really like the method he used in screening my nephew for the best possible outcome.

Dr. Hays has more cases supposedly than any other lasik surgeon in the state. She has glowing recommendations from everyone I've talked to, but I haven't been AS impressed with her evaluation process.

Good Luck.

*UPDATE* I was actually wrong.. The surgery was done by Sarah Hayes.. very professional woman.. had her shit straight and together.. nice orientation/presentation. I would definately go back again and might in later years to have an enhancement that was not available to me today because my vision sucked so bad

They screened me 3 times by 3 different doctors so there was never a doubt to the best possible outcome.

The price actually bumped up to 3900. I'm not sure why but I spose when your paying 3800 whats another 100 huh?
