Taft fcuked any chance Ken Blackwell had of getting in, and he was one of us....
Instead,  we had 4yrs of Strickland who was friendlier towards gun rights and owners than the fcukin RINO's we've had to endure, and I fcukin hate democrats....

Any faith I had in a free and fair election went down the shitter in November, and I doubt I'll waste any time or energy voting in the future..

What?

The governor's window to veto this bill is now closed, correct?
Link Posted: 1/1/2021 7:49:40 AM EST
Just as there is the link posted above to encourage Dewine to sign it, there are several others to encourage him to veto it. Saying things like "license to kill" among other things.

Any updates?

BFA:  Governor DeWine Signs Duty to Retreat Bill

Wow, I figured that he was going to veto it given the way he's been going lately but I guess I was wrong.  Maybe he realizes how shaky he's made the ground that he's standing on with all of his COVID shutdown antics and doesn't want to alienate a large voting block.  Whatever the motivation I'm glad to see that he signed it.

Excellent news for sure.  Maybe BFA softened him up with promises to work on NICS improvement legislation with him.

I'm surprised he signed it, but good work guys putting pressure on him.

My mind is blown. Based on what he said in recent interviews, and his bitching about how his gun control agenda is being held up, I thought for sure he would veto this.

I am happy to admit I was wrong and will apologize to him should we ever meet face to face.

Hell froze over!

DeSwine signed the "No Retreat" law!

WOWZA!!!

Link Posted: 1/4/2021 8:29:14 PM EST
Awesome! Now he needs to sign the bill repealing duty to inform.

That Mayor is mad we didn't make it double illegally to do illegal stuff.
I am very disappointed, however, that the legislature did not include in this bill the essential provisions that I proposed to make it harder for dangerous criminals to illegally possess and use guns,

Great news!

One of those times I'm damn glad I was wrong.   I was willing to bet DeWine wouldnt sign it.

Link Posted: 1/5/2021 8:30:05 AM EST
Finally some good news from DeWine...
Link Posted: 1/5/2021 8:39:47 AM EST
Well I'll come back here and eat crow.  I was certain that he was going to weasel out after hearing him talk a couple weeks ago.  Pleasantly surprised.

Same here. I'm still not a DeWine fan after all of his shutdown nonsense but good on him for this one.
Link Posted: 1/5/2021 11:11:17 AM EST
Awesome

I was honestly expecting a veto.
Link Posted: 1/5/2021 4:34:52 PM EST
Did not see that coming. Figured he'd veto. Still fuck him for all his covid nonsense. I really wish he was more like Desantis.
