I'm looking for the best source on what is legal to carry in Ohio and what isn't. Specifically blade length restrictions, if any.

I called the sheriff's office and they said anything under 6" is fine. I don't want to rely on that, though.

State law is pretty liberal,It's the local ords you really have to watch. Generaly if you stay with folders with blades 3.5 or less your going to be ok and no autos or butterflies.

Stoner nailed it, just remember if you are ever caught witht a knife the cop/deputy/officer will ask what do you do with this, or what is this for -- it is imperative that you state " I use it for work, open boxes whatever, if you answer wrong it is a weapon in many jurisdicitons and may be a CCW or other offence.
