Hey all,

I read the thread from two weeks ago about safes.  It left me wondering who has the best selection (as opposed to deals)?  Anybody have a recommendation?

Thanks,
BoB

I have not had a chance to post this yet, but after a few months of going back and forth I ended up driving all the way out to Northwest Safe Company... alomost 3 hours away for me, but hands down they were the most friendly and the only ones that would even try and bend the price for me.... I would say check them out and let them know your are from this forum, I told the owner that I would be posting about them, so tell 'um Ramster from AR15.COM sent ya!

Don't tell revlis they have "Harley Davidson" safes!

Somewhat on the same subject...  who would you hire to deliver and set up a safe if you didn't have the current physical ability to move anything on your own?

PCR-00 and GMW have done a great job in the past.

Depends on where you want it delivered to though.

Sam's Gun Shop in Everett has a good selection and good prices. It's a little north of Seattle but it's worth the drive.

Plus 1 on NW Safe Co.  They have a huge showroom and tons of safes in stock.  Just about the best prices as well.

NW Safe delivered mine (or they have someone do it)  It was only like $30 several years ago.  The new one (bigger, heavier and up a flight and a half of stairs) was only 50 bucks I think.

It'll probably cost a few more bucks to deliver to Portland, eh?

+1 on Northwest Safe. I bought a Liberty from them also. Got a good deal and never had a bad moment one with them.

While I got mine on sale at my local Lowe's,  I was impressed with NW Safe's selection, and as others have pointed out, Sam's is carrying a good selection these days.

Too bad they dont have any inside the stores to check out.  At least the one at Tukwila.

They said they might get some in, during the holiday seasons.

Check out the safes at Sportco and Costco, then go see Dave at NWSafe. He took an hour and a half to talk to me and explain the finer points of safes. They delivered mine and set it up without putting holes in the walls or scratching the safe. Half ton safes aren't exactley the easiest things to move around.
