I'm finally going to buy one (thank you, tax return). It's one of the few niches I don't have filled in my collection. At Turners the "Loaded" model is going for about $1500. This seems high to me, but I still remember when they were under 1K. I'm in Riverside and am willing to drive a little to save a little.

Well the Loaded version is listed anywhere from $1.6k to $2.1k on the website, so using that price comparison for the normal M1A, you should be able to find it around $1.1k-$1.3k.

I just got back from the Riverside Turners. They want $1399.00 for the standard model and $1599.00 for the Loaded model. I got a little side tracked by the 25 RPD, CHP and RSO units that went by code three. When the choppers roared by I decided to leave. I'll go back tomorrow. I don't know what's going on but theres cops rollin' code all over the city. Nothing on the news yet.

I don't think you're going to find one under $1.1k. You might get a good deal on a used one if you looked hard enough. Polytechs go for much less, but that's a whole other issue...

My standard cost $1535 out the door ($1395 + tax, license and dealer prep) at the Pasadena Turner's.

I agree. It is way too overpriced, but still... semi auto and .308

If you can find a used one in good shape I'd recommend it over some of the newer production. SA is having to manufacture more parts and they're just not up to the old mil-spec standards of 10 years ago. I bought mine about 10 years ago and the gas block wasn't mil-spec size. I did get a forged hammer assembly at least.
