Well, looks like daddy gets a present this year after all  Any suggestions are welcome. I live in Harford but I'll drive quite a ways to save money. I'm just looking for a basic AR. Thanks---

To buy an AR out of state, you will still need to transfer it to FFL in maryland ....

thats the only way you can do it, I would buy something online and have the lover receiver shipped to your local FFL which he should charge you up to 40 bucks.

thats the way it goes in Maryland, the evil state !

I know, thanks for the suggestion but I was talking about in-state. I know how to buy online, just would rather deal with a storefront, if I can find one who doesn't want to put his kids through college on one sale . (Would add though you can however buy a "non-regulated" HBAR in a neighboring state legally with a standard NICS/4473 transaction. A lot of out of state FFL's will not do it however, MD laws too screwed up for them to want to risk running astray of anything, and who could blame them)

Anyway, I don't want the thread to get off subject, if anyone knows of any FFL's with good prices on AR's in the area please feel free to chime in.

Try Christian Solider on Harford Road. Rob is a great guy and his prices are not too bad.
You will need to call to find out when he is open. He is a part-time dealer and his hours
change each week.

Why not give Fulton a call and see what they have in stock? IIRC they have hours on Thursdays when you can visit the shop. Prices are competitive.

Thanks guys, funny you should mention Christian Soldier, that was like #1 on my list of places to check out, I've heard so many good things about them. And Fulton Armory too, WOW, what a website!

Yes up here in Harford we're fortunate to have Jack's Gun Works, heck of a nice guy and reasonable too. I'll go through him if I decide to order from Atlantic or whatever. Hey down by you I know there's a place called Cromwell's Firearms that is always advertising on Gunsamerica and seems to have outstanding prices. I don't know anything about them beyond that, but that might be something you could check into, they are listed as a transfer dealer on the site.
