I might be there if I get back from my 3-Gun match and pistol match in time.  The Belton show really varies in quality from show to show.  Hell, I went there once specifically looking for a single AR15 detent pin and there wasn't one to be found in the entire show.

That said, it can be a good show if the right vendors show up - like Spreadfire Arms.  If the right guys don't show up then it's mostly overpriced Glocks, beanie babies, and folks who sharpen knives.

HAHA,super dark in there, kinda scary.Weekend I went I was looking for an AR bolt...nothin ar related to be found besides over priced lowers...About 60 tables total. There was a guy with matching revolvers for a good price.I'll pass for a while going to the funshow period.

AR parts are scarce here.  a small guy had a few AR parts (detent pins, etc). but nobody is selling stocks, LPK's, uppers, etc.  heck i sell complete rifles and had guys hitting me up for AR parts which i don't stock.  i'd have made good change if i had AR parts to sell.  but the show isn't bad.  i like the big aisles and the roominess of the venue.  the bathrooms suck though, i feel like im peeing in a stinky horse trough.

usual bunch of non-gun dealers: sham-wow, beef jerky, sugared pecans, etc, and the $4 sodas.

What a disappointment this show was. Now I know why I haven't gone in over two years. The place is like a cave and smelled like  a barn. Lots of overpriced crap, chinese knock offs, jerky. One guy even had a table full of shit that looked like a garage sale complete with corroded magazines, stripper clips, assorted parts.
Prices for SKSs averaged $350 and most of the ones I saw were all beat to hell. Another guy selling reloading supplies had WAY over priced powder and primers. As I was looking at what he had, I overheard him telling a potential customer that he had a two item minimum purchase

I wanted to drop kick the table that the guy selling that NCStar crap had as i listened to him telling his customers how great a product he had there and the wonderful life time warranty. I had to laugh as one of the customers started spewwing about how the scope he bought was a piece of crap and got nothing but a run around when he tried to get it fixed.

I saw beat to hell AR15s going for $1,000 ~ $1200. New ARs as high as $1800!

In defense of Spreadfirearms, they had a good selection, the tables were well laid out and organized and prices were reasonable for what they offered.

LordShogun,

thanks! i agree, there are some strange birds in here.  i have sold a few AR's (4 as of now) and an upper and some knick-knacks.

i like this show because there are usually alot of people selling stuff.  a guy came by with an ACOG worth about $1050-1300 new on the internet (opticsplanet and trijicon's webpage, respectively) in great condition with all the goodies for $600.  he sold it quickly needless to say.  i was holding out at $550!  stupid me.

i got some cool stuff tho.....i like this show despite all the other stuff mentioned.  i wonder how Mesquite is doing?

You could have bought that, put it right on the table and made a real quick tidy profit. Had I seen him, I would have bought it!
