Hmmmm I wonder what the whole story is here. Was she on her own property or the neighbors? Looks like neighbor issues. Seems some of the info has been left out.

Bauxite Alderman Deborah Purifoy plead not guilty to assaulting a police officer over the weekend. Purifoy is now out on bond.
Along with assaulting a police officer, Deborah Purifoy was arrested for disorderly conduct, filing a false report, resisting arrest, and failure to obey police. This all happened during a dispute with Purifoy's neighbors Saturday night.
Bauxite Alderman Purifoy was arraigned late Monday morning on charges she assaulted Officer Michael Turner and resisted arrest during an incident Saturday night.
The city council member allegedly refused to follow Officer Turner's instructions and assaulted him, while he was trying to respond to a domestic disturbance at the home of one of Purifoy's neighbors. It all happened on the 5400 block of Spring Street.
Purifoy is serving her second term as Postion 4 Alderman on the city council. She's being challenged in the November general election by Allison Cain.
Bauxite Police Chief Jimmy Hood says, he things Purifoy needs to step down from her position now. Chief hood says Officer Turner was dealing with a domestic disturbance at the home of Purifoy's next door neighbor.
Turner told the chief one of the residents was told to leave the home and the officer then left the area. That's when Turner was called by Purifoy to come back, claiming the neighbor was back and disturbing her.
Officer Turner later found that was not the case. That's when Turner says, Purifoy refused his commands and physically assaulted him.
Purifoy's next court appearance is October 26th at 1 p.m.
