Well the sale starts on Saturday. I have to work on saturday and sunday. I was going to take the wife on Sunday and pick up some Q3131A. Is anyone going that can check the levels of stock. ITt's a little drive for me, plus the wife and the mall.

BTW todays grand opening in Flint of the new Gander Mountain. I picked up one of those $100 remington 597, then a $10 cooupon. IT's only a 22, but for $90

I called Bass Pro today and they told me that Winchester had an order for 70,000 or 700,000 rounds (or something like that) and that the ammo was not going to come in. They're subbing UMC for it.

Thanks for sharing that Mudboy--saved me the two hours of driving to find out for myself. Oh well, off to Cabelas instead.

$2.28 for a box of rem umc .223 55 gr

I picked up a k, because at that price the umc is worth it.

does anyone know if they would write a rain check for the Winchester?

They declined to write a raincheck for the winnie, they are substituting the UMC.

(No 3131A on the shelves)

$2.28 or $2.88 a box? $2.88 a box is $144 per 1000.

They told me on the phone that all of Winchesters inventory was going to the gubermint, and they (Bass) couldn't do anything except substitute.

Our local Bass Pro had their sell 2 weeks ago I was lucky and got me another 1000 rounds... can't beat that price. HermanSnerd went by there and cleaned the shelves off of Q3131A.

According to the sale paper I received, its on from Aug. 21st through Aug 29th, 2004.
