I am looking to get a new barrel for my AR15, but am getting some fuzzy info on what is legal.

If I bought a barrel with threads and then bought an A2 hider seperate, had a gunsmith permamently weld them together, is that legal? Are flash hiders illegal, or just removable ones?

Flash hiders are illegal, unless the rifle is a pre-ban model.

But muzzlebrakes are ok, as long as perm attached.

I thought they were legal if they're permanently attached. I think that only removable FH are illegal.

Only MB's or compensators are legal unless preban
