Just to sum it up for you all:
ALQ-99 and Chem/bio are staying.
Naval weapons & armament (that's me) are going.
Some parts of guns/ammo are going, the parts that support SpecOps are staying at Crane.

Crane was never even mentioned during the Naval Weapons and Armament part.  Samuel "I'm going forth as the #1 proponent of Crane" Skinner didn't say a word.  He did pipe up during the ALQ-99 and gun/ammo part.

And Indian Head isn't moving because they "do boom".

So, is this a "done deal"? If so, what is the estimated time schedule?

Still has to go through the POTUS and Congress.  POTUS will rubber stamp it.  I suspect Congress will do the same.   I'm interviewing for a different job at Crane on Wednesday.

ETA: Regarding schedule, we've received conflicting reports.  Cap'n says it'll be 09.  Admiral (Indian Head does 'boom') said it could be February.  I'm guessing somewhere between that.  They are moving a ridiculous number of ppl to China Lake.  There'll have to be MILCONs to house them all.  That takes time.

Sorry to hear Jim...I always thought Crane would be a great place to work, just not the most stable.  Good Luck on the interview.
