Hey anybody know of any up comming gun events in Austin? This month?
Kinda wanted a machine gun shoot or something where I could rent one. I will be spending a weekend in Dripping Springs, and Texas tactical isnt doing a match that I want to attend.  Should be around 08/19/06. Thanks, Willing to adjust date for the right event!  Travis |

heard a rumor that you can rent/shoot FA at the bullet hole in San Antonio(unconfirmed), but short of knowing someone well enough to let you shoot their FA, in Austin you may be out of luck.
For me, FA lost its appeal after about 1 mag, but if it's your thing (and it is for a lot of people) go for it and have fun. |

Yeah, I know about The Bullet Hole, but I am not driving that far. We are staying at a B-n-B and just wanted something close.

I'd like to shoot my new ACOG/SUPRSED M4 in the NFA class, in fact, if I can get my gas tube pressure under controll and feed w/out spraying rem-oil in my eyes this week, I will go. |

FYI: I don't know of ANY machine gun shoot events being held anywhere at Austin gun ranges.

Sorry... I didn’t make it, had an emergency gas-leak at a rental property. Can you believe that the city makes you get a frigg'n building permit prior to having a plumber come repair it. They ruined my ENTIRE weekend. Anyway, here she blows... and yes, she blows a lot of funky shit into my face till I get a gas-regulation system and an over-sized gas charge handle. You would not BELIEVE how much pressure the can shoots back through the bolt, my wife could have been a remoil spokesmodel after two shots!  |

Well I just got back from the Carbine Match at Mikes.
 Top notch as allways! I had a blast, I really need to do this more often. I felt I shot fairl, other that my poor pistol work! I deffinitely need more range time with the 1911!Bomb one stage, but to be fair I did have a S/O telling me to take more shots, ran dry too early and that threw me off for the rest of the stage, but that does make for great REAL WOLRD practice! I know the S/O was trying to help, but it really threw me off my groove. OH Well, I still enjoyed it.More of you Austin/san Antonio area guys need to try this! We could all have our own squad. would be a great way to meet some of you. Adios, Travis |
