People overreact to 'sunsetting' of law

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that the 1994 "assault weapons" ban actually banned any firearms when it only banned certain cosmetic features on firearms.

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that the 1994 "assault weapons" ban was "lifted" when it in fact sunsetted as per the law as written and approved by Congress and signed by President Clinton.

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that "assault weapons" are military weapons when military weapons are fully automatic (such as machine guns).

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that military weapons are going to be available for sale anywhere in Washington state. If you believe the liberals, gun banners, Gil Kerlikowski, Sara Brady and the rest, military weapons are going to be for sale by anyone with a car on a corner with an open trunk.

This is the letter I sent:

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that the 1994 "assault weapons"
ban actually banned any firearms when it only banned certain COSMETIC
features on firearms.

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that the 1994 "assault weapons"
ban was "lifted" when it in fact sunsetted as per the law AS WRITTEN and
approved by Congress and signed by President Clinton.

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that "assault weapons" are
military weapons when military weapons are fully automatic / select fire (aka machine
guns).

I find it hard to believe that anyone thinks that military weapons are going
to be available for sale anywhere in Washington State.

If you believe the liberals, gun banners, Gil Kerlikowski, Sara Brady and
the rest, military weapons are going to be for sale by anyone with a car on
a corner with an open trunk, the ice cream man or even with a fishing net
(flooding the streets) and buy a military weapon.

Looks like only minor editing. They could surely have butchered it up for you.

Looks okay to me. The fishing net thing was kind of vague anyhow.

They got the substance of the letter and toned down the anger. I think they actually helped you get your point across better. The fishing net comment was vague, the ice cream truck comment was hilarious but detracts away from the point. If they left it in you finish reading remembering nothing except "well of course no one is selling machine guns off ice cream trucks... duh." Hence your entire point is missed.

What anger?
You must of had to reach deep to pull that one out....

Anger would have been "Stupid motherfucking dummycunts don'e even know what the fuck their beloved Congress and President passed in 1994 concerning "assault weapons"".

I'm a spaz...
confused your VERY GOOD letter, combined with the open trunk comment with another quote I read online(not by you).
Still a great letter, nice to see it was published mostly unmolested....

His last name is "Mamma"

KA3B, it is easy to understand that you must have filled your trunk with assault weapons in order to sell them (out of YOUR trunk).

{BTW, what corner are you parked on again?}

I'll be at the corner of 5th Ave South and South Weller in Seattle.

You figure it out....
