The milsurp ones with bayo, grenade launcher attatchment, etc? They are C&R pieces, but I'm not sure if in Jersey they're illegal in ORIGINAL MILITARY FORM or not. I have found some conflicting information that says they're legal in original config and some places say they're illegal in original config...Any help?

As long as they have a 10 round fixed mag, they are NJ legal. NJ laws specifically bans the SKS with a detachable mag. The only problem I know of with the grenade launcher in in California.

Yup, fixed 10-round mag...I was just curious because I found a few online that looked nice :).

Perfectly legal, I own one.

Yes, I own one.

The stock, unmodified SKS is legal here. The problem arises when you convert it to detachable mag. But you don't want to do that in the first place, because it will give you feeding problems in many places.

The SKS is a good rifle on its own, without being screwed with.

Go to the Valley Forge show coming up on the weekend of Sept. 17th.-18th. There will be a dealer there selling exc. condition Yugo's for $149.99. He had a crate of them at the Phila. Armory show a few weeks ago.

I certainly would, except I'll be away that weekend. AIMsurplus has some 'excellent' condition surplus Yugo's for $139.95, and figured I'd pick one up since I was going to get some ammo from them, too.
