So my 23 year old nephew tells me that there's a new series on Netflix called "black mirror" and it's similar to what the "twilight zone" offered only modern version.  I decided to watch the first episode and all I can saw is that I sat there, slackjawed, not knowing how to react to what they put up on the screen.  It was SO off the wall that I literally had the remote in my hand ready to bail.  But, I didn't.  I decided I would bare with it just to see how they would resolve the horrific issue that they were faced with.  I would love to hear from anyone else who braved that show.  It's so far away from what our US cable shows offer that it's almost difficult to compare.  I had to go wash my face and hands at the end.

Never seen it. I'm not sure what you are saying about it? Was it over the top graphic? Cheesy? Artsy? Should we watch it or run for the hills?

Haven't watched it yet, but from what others said (in the GD thread(s) on that Netflix series) the other episodes are supposedly better than the first one.

Haven't seen it myself, but if it's like a lot of other series, it might help to just power through some of the early episodes. It was like that for me with "Trailer Park Boys"...now I don't get so frestated when I watch the 1st season.

I was introduced to it a week and a half ago.  I watched a few of the season 3 episodes before seeing the first.  It is in my queue now.  I hope they do many more.
