The next Eastman show is Dec 13-14 at the North Atlanta Trade Center. Back to THE ORIGINAL TOPIC, you wouldn't play hookey Monday even if I offered you some Wolf ammo?

Hey Bookhound, Im in Loganville, and have a couple of RRA lowers with some Model 1 uppers I assembled a year ago and still havent fired them.
How about letting me know when you intend to be at CE, maybe I can sneak over there for a little while, It be good to meet some of you guys. |

Well, I'd love to go, Lorraine would love to be there(she just eats up Wolf), but because of other lightweights like you, that are taking that week off, slobs like me have to be there to keep the crap running. Ghost, you're gonna hate me, but the reason I want to hit the range is to put some ammo down that Varmiter. I really need something more like 100 yards to get the scope dialed in. Plus, I want to do kind of a modified "break in" of the barrel; you know, shoot a round and clean, shoot five rounds and clean, shoot ten rounds... Doing that at an indoor range without a bench would suck.

If you're still planning on going to CE on Monday, I'd like to meet you there. I'm off on Sundays and Mondays, so I haven't been able to join in on the last couple of CE shoots.
I'll do a search for the directions you guys posted for the last trip. Let me know what time to be there, and an approximate travel time from Woodstock. Welcome! Yes, I'm still planning on going Monday. I guess I'll wait until traffic dies down a little, so I'll plan on getting there sometime around 10:00 or 10:15. I drive a red Honda Passport and I'll have a RRA 20" Varminter with me.
What kind of AR did you get? |

I bought a new Bushmaster A3 Shorty. B&B Outdoors is in the same shopping center as my store, GA Paintball 2.0, in Roswell. They gave me a good deal and I am in the process of upgrading/damaging it myself. Due to an eye injury about four years ago, I now am learning to shoot left-handed, so don't be too critical of the poor groups I throw down-range. Look forward to meeting you. I am guessing about an hour travel time. I'll be in a white Cavalier. Jon |

Yes, Still trying, but the closer Monday gets ,the more I'm adding to my monday schedule. Its looking pretty doubtful. I'm starting a new project next week,(a 21k sq.ft. hangar at the Lawerenceville airport) and my workload is building quicker than I anticipated. I do appreciate the invite though, I ll keep checking this forum to see what you guys are cooking up. |

A friend and I drove out to CE despite the weather. Got there around 10:45 and the rain was letting up, but the wind was pretty brisk.
We stayed around 3 hours. I was really impressed with how well the Bushmaster shot. When I first arrived, we walked down to the 100 yd range and asked if anyone was from AR-15. One whooter replied, "Aw Hell, I'm leaving before all those guys show up." If this is the typical reaction you guys get from the wooden gun guys, I'm definitely in the right place. If anyone plans on shooting on Mondays during the holidays, let me know. I'm headed up to some range in Resaca, off of I-75, on Dec 8, if any one wants to meet me there. Jon |
