Just curious about their reputation, or if anyone has any feedback about them. I was thinking of signing up.

from link...

The CHL Protection Plan will help provide financial protection and resources to assist you with legal services in the event you are required to defend yourself before a Grand Jury.

just curious, it was my understanding that in the grand jury process, the grand jury is only deciding if the accusation merits a trial.

So who actually covers you when you go to trial?

EPOCH

Also from their link (in the FAQ page):
They will cover arraignment & Grand Jury defence costs in states that have a CHL reciprocal agreement with Texas, though they say nothing about states that honor the Texas CHL, but have no reciprocal agreement.

Hmmmm....

ETA - costs:
$100/year if paid ahead for 4 years ($399/4 years)
$130/year if paid annually ($129/year)
$144/year if paid quarterly ($36/quarter)

A potential problem is an attorney they provide for you might not be specialized, or know anything, about criminal cases.

As an alternative to this, I have no coverage or legal contact whatsoever, not even the name of a pro-2a lawyer.

IF this isn't a good deal, can anyone recommend someone in the Dallas area who might be willing to represent a person in the event of a justified shoot? If it happened to me today, I don't have the slightest idea what I'd do with my one call.

Good points!
Having a list of good lawyers who are pro-2A would be a huge advantage over picking & choosing from the Yellow Pages.

Taggage.... I asked the same question last month, and the peanut gallery pretty much said "no attorney here can come out and say he does this kind of work, or it might be construed as advertising"..... so, lemme focus the question:  "Can anyone who is NOT an attorney, recommend an attorney who might be able to defend a CHL holder in a just shoot?"
