My Wife's parents live in Bullhead City (they love the Casino's in Laughlin.......) and she really would like to move closer to them.  For me, location to work isn't really an issue, I am going to start at least one company shortly and location doesn't matter for that, but I would like to know how the area around Kingman is.   On our last trip down we were going to drive to Kingman, but the time slipped away with visiting, and the bug to actually move kicked in with my Wife after we had left Arizona.  Any answers to these questions, or other suggestions would be appreciated.


We hear it's growing, but see little on the internet about new homes.  Are they building new homes?

What kind of shopping is in the area?  How about places to eat?  

How is crime?

Any good BLM areas around there?  I like BLM ;)

How about internet access?  is DSL widely available, or would I be looking for other options?

Bullhead City seems about right, but I'm not into the Casinos, and from what I see on weather.com Kingman stays a little cooler in the summer.

They will send you plenty of brochures if you emai the chamber of commerce. I was considering moving there about 2 years ago spend a few days there last year  there seams to be alot of housing construction.  Nice town just not for us at this point in time I could see myself there in about 30 years thou (28 now) We have decided on the PHX area as I lived in Glendale as a kid.
