on the next gunshow in SLC.  It has been quite a few years since I have been down there to one and I figure it is time to go and check it out again.  Besides it will give me a chance to go to Lehi and check out the new Cabelas.  Does MiWall still come this the show?  Anyone see what ammo prices were at the last one?

.223, 7.62x39 and 308 is what I will be looking for.  I heard that 7.62x39 has been quite pricey lately.

I know Wolf has had a price increase of around $30 to $40 dollars. But Cabelas is still selling (Wolf)7.62x39 for $49.99 per 500 rounds with and plastic ammo can. As for the .223 and .308, I prefer the Ausi in the .308, but I have not seen any of that lately. Good .223 ammo is hard to find right now. You didn't miss any good deals at the gun show though.

MMD- I will have to check that place out next time I am down there.  Maybe the next time I come down I might be able to get together and have lunch with a few of the UT members or possibly come down for a shoot.

M21- I really like shooting the Aussi but I haven't been able to find any for a decent price since I left WA.  Before to long if prices don't come down a bit it will be by far cheaper to reload.

Anyone shot that 7.62x39 ammo that Vector was selling?

I have shot the Cheetah. It seemed to funtion well. We put it through an AK and SKS. I think my buddy paid $189.99 for 1440 rounds of it. It is made in South Africa.

There are a few places that carry Aussi from time to time, I have seen it in 300 round ammo cans for 69.99 and 140 round blister packs for 42.99. But I have not seen any recently.

Howdy - You should take the drive down to see Cabela's and save your money on the beannie baby gun show. The Cabela's gun library is worth the trip. As of this past WED Cabela's was out of  7.62x39.  The Cheetah ammo is great - too bad Vector's is all gone.  308 - Some of my rifles like the SA better than the Aussie but most seem to shoot the Aussie a bit better. I try to save the SA battlepaks for a rainy day and shoot the Aussie for practice. 223 is available but not inexpensive any more. The 7.62x54R seems to be the best buy around now days in large caliber ammo - if you don't have a Mosin you might want to look at a M38 for a WY truck gun. The are a blast - carry hearing protection.
