Yes, I am going to the Oktoberfest in Frankenmuth for the weekend. Saturday we will run over to Birch Run.

Looks like I'll be there. Thinking about walking around with my HK/Benelli M190 and see if there is any interest. Could use that money to put into some new glass for my AR10.

It was pretty lame - all the regulars were there. I found my powder, but other than that I didn't see a whole lotta deals or trading going on. Saw primers at $38/k.

Found a few deals but most prices were still from 6 months ago and I just laughed at them. Most stuff was not selling. One of my favorite dealers who WILL deal did me good on multiple cases of MREs. I couldn't touch the price anywhere on the web. His original price was pretty dang good to begin with and they were pretty recent dated.

Bought all but one.

Made a few offers that were fair, dealers are going to be stuck with product if they don't drop prices and they know it. The one pistol I was looking for was nowhere to be seen, go figure, last time they had 5 or 6 decent examples of it there.

Gang bangers/wanna be's crawled in about 12PM, still don't understand why ANY dealer would even let them touch a weapon myself...........

Did buy some 30/06 [42 dated TW] AP for $12 a box. Boxes were a bit rough but the ammo was fine.

Still better then working in the yard................

I'll probably go to the next one. I'll need to grab some ammo cans and I can get the there kinda sorta reasonable. Other than that, I really rather order from the internet. Prices are way too high, especially if they are still pricing from the highest point in the panic buying.

What did the private party selling look like? I would rather buy from a private party than pay dealer asking prices.

Not a lot of private selling going on. a few junky milsurps, some cheapo AKs and SKS, but priced to high. More then a few handguns but most were newer and the owners wanted to much. None were "special" to command a premium.

There was a pre war Colt 1911 .38 super in nice shape there but the guy wanted WAY to much and his story was a bit "off" as far as some of the dates on another slide for it. If it was a "super match" his price would have been correct as far as ballpark but the rear sight and slide markings did not match what a super match's should be.

This was the real deal in sealed AP boxes. Good stuff and that was a good price.
