That is a VERY well done video. |
Gosh, that's nice of you to say so. The teens and bitter antburners at Shotgunworld thought it sucked.
As you can probably guess, it's one of a series I am working on. For the moment I just go out and film myself and maybe a couple friend shooting stuff, but I hope to produce a whole series of little videos (maybe five minutes each) touching on various aspects of "America's Gun Culture," how Americans
really use their guns (I use the term ironically, since it's a favorite phrase of the gun grabbers). One recurring theme will be kids and families, since it strikes me that shooting is, along with off-road vehicle riding, one of the few activities where entire families play together on weekends.
I'm not a family man, but I do recall with fondness how my own family used to spend at least a weekend a month, or more, camping in the desert and riding motorcycles together. We did this for years, until about the time I discovered girls. I don't see modern families actually doing much stuff together once the kids are teens. I think that's a dangerous trend.
Anyway, as we in this forum all know, shooting is not only safe and fun, but it's something anyone can enjoy. And no animals have to die. And nothing (except a few recyclable plastic bottles or watermelons) has to be destroyed. To try to capture this I'm going to need to work with more people in the future.
