My moving plans are coming together a lot sooner than I expected.

To help save me some time looking for a home, could tell me the areas to avoid?

Just about all of PSL. I would definetly focus on Stuart

Stuart, Palm City, Sewall's Point are all great. Just don't drive 1 mph over the limit at Sewall's Point. Avoid Indian Town.

I have lots of friends from there and the area always impressed me.

For the most part this. PSL still has a few good neighborhoods left, Stuart is mostly good.

Hope you have a job lined up,that will a challenge or a commute.

I left in August of last year and I want to go back, but I like being employed more.

I'm in PSL... What are you looking for?  Gated community?  Appartment?  I can point you in the right direction if you plan on moving here.

PSL- Tradition, Saint Lucie West, Torino.

We lived in Tradition when it was first built back in 05, was super nice. HOA didn't put up with any shit.  Gated community with a guard 24/7.  Nice clubhouse and pool.  School district sucks as they do crosstown busing, so your kids could end up getting bused to a school in the hood.

Some recent problems with the city government and PD though.

Looking at buying a house.

As to the post about busing kids....this is the info I need/fear
I have a HS in mind.. Jensen Beach HS.  From what I gathered so far, it's a decent school.  We are going to contact them Tuesday to discuss.

We can't afford to buy in JB area, but could rent.  Long story short; outlaws are looking for investment property (cash deal) and we would rent it.

ETA how do you do multiple quotes?  you'd think I'd know by now

I live in Martin County and would recommend MC over St. Lucie. We are solidly red. Stuart has a variety of neighborhoods from good to bad. Palm City has good to outstanding. Schools are A rated and the parents are actively involved. If you want more of a farm experience, Palm City has 5 and 20 acre lots out west.
