I've ran across the Cavalry Arms website. I'm thinking of getting some of their desert tan, or the coyote brown furniture set. Any of you guys changed out your handguards, ect? Anyone used the desert tan set from Cavalry Arms? How hard is it to remove the handguard on the barrel?

Thanks,
Andy

I can help you swap out the furniture if you want, but I don't think you'll need the help.  The buttstock is held on to the extension/buffer tube with a single screw.  The handguards are retained by the delta ring.  It can be a little tricky if the spring retaining the delta ring is stiff to remove the handguards by yourself.

A tool exists to aid removing & installing the handguards:

www.bushmaster.com/shopping/handguards/hgd-tool.asp

I just use the "buddy method" and have a buddy press down on the delta ring while I remove the handguards.

Pistol grip is retained by a single screw.

WARNING:
The rear take-down pin spring and detent are held in place by the buttstock.  Be very careful not to lose these when removing the buttstock.  Also, a similar detent and spring are for the safety selector are held in place by the pistol grip.  Do not lose these.

Let me know if you want some help.

On my last post I was commenting on the A2 stock like you have on your rifle.  Replacing the stock on a collapsible is a little different.  Just FYI.

That particular rifle is f/a and belongs to Shawn. I have lots of their furniture on my ARs. Don't tell my wife but I'm up to eight of them. Their furniture is top notch.

I think you'll see some Cav furniture in this video. If you have to ask why some of the guys are wearing kevlar then you don't have the sound turned up.

You all come out to an AZ shoot sometime.

I have thought about coming out to AZ a few times.  My only problem is car rental because I'm under 25.  Now if someone were to be able to pick me up, I'd be all up in there.

Nice video. Jessica is really nice. I like the way she knows her way around those weapons
