Im trying to set the timing and idle for a SBC. Holley 650 double pumper. MSD pro billet dizzy and 6A ignition.

Its in a boat mind you but getting to all the parts could not be easier.

if someone is willing to lend a brother a hand then that would be tits. If not and you would prefer to make a few bucks or have a freind who would like to make a few bucks hit me up. Im at my wits end and trying to get the Mrs to help me has gone NO WHERE!!!! It simply requires two Fing people.

Pics of the set up so you see what you might be getting into.

Thanks to any one that can lend a hand getting this thing timed.

I'm on Lake Norman. Where is this boat? And how long will this take? Please estimate the time in beers, at 3 beers per hour.

Well, I'm a lightweight, so only one beer will be necessary. I will help you with this if you will help me switch the battery in my BMW motorcycle. It's a 3 beer job. My next chance will be Tuesday and I can ride the bike there with the tools I'll need.

I'll just handle my two-man job on my own.

Damn it I read that wrong. I thought you said you did handle it not was going to. I can help a brother change a battery but curious why a battery requires four hands. If you need a hand with that and can be flexible on time I am sure I could lend a hand. Email me.

I have to remove the tank and it has pressurized lines because it's EFI. I might be able to do it alone, but I have not dealt with this kind of thing before and it's nice to have a second set of eyes. Lemme see if my biker buddy can help and if not, I might send an email.

My neighbor is a mechanic and is also a BMW bike owner.  In the Mint Hill area.  He does work on the side but I don't know what he charges.  If your interested, I'll ask him.  Good solid guy.  Knows his stuff.

Thank you for the referral. I just needed a second set of hands to help pull the tank. But I will remember this for future problems.

delemorte wasn't kidding when he said it was a 2 person job.  After a few quick checks of both the ignition and fuel delivery systems.   I started adjusting the timing, when she finally fired and was idling on her own...... All I can say is WOW!!!!!

That Boat is an absolute Hoot to ride in.

I've done a lot of stupid things in vehicles going way too Damn fast but delemorte's Jet boat is just a blast.

I spent about 20 minutes on the water fine tuning the ignition timing and getting slung around the seating area as Delemorte would get in and out of the Throttle, while keeping the Bow pointed in a safe direction(just like a muzzle).

I will definately take you up, on the high speed boat play.  As much as I like going fast on pavement, dirt, mud I think I'm really going to enjoy the water better. I almost want to own a Boat like that just for S&G's

Anyway, Thanks for letting me help you get her running and for the short jaunt around the water.

Np brother. I found the short in the dash. My switched power cable split. So its back to 100%. And now the tail works its twice as fun. Hit me up when you got some free weekend to go out and do something dangerous.

With the place diverter working now i can get the rest of the boat out of the water and get that nose up. once she is trimmed she only has a foot or so actually wet so she slides around better.
