Looking for a Colt large pin upper, either complete with a 20" hbar or just the complete receiver.

Are there any local shops that would have any?

Didn't see any on EE or GunBroker....

Any other websites?

What's my best way to try and find one?

Try Delta Arsenal or Greysons.  I have seen them at both in the last few weeks.

Or put a WTB add up.

I saw an sp1 upper on the EE a few days ago.

I'm sure if you put a WTB you will find.

So the two 20" on GB are not large hole?

I re-checked GB - found flat top versions and also what appeared to be standard pivot pin. Thought I found one, but there was no elevation adjustment for the rear sights.

Far from an expert on all the versions....

I will check out the stores mentioned above and if that falls through - will try a WTB add.

I was able to find a lower that has the large pin - looking to build out the service rifle for my daughter...

I know I can use a conversion pin, but would rather have the right pin size so that if she has an issue with the rifle she can easily deal with it.

thnx

You could also send you lower out and have it converted to a mil spec pin. Then you can use a standard upper without any issues.

I have a stripped Colt SP1 large pin upper receiver if you need...  I bought it to harvest the 1/12 barrel for my .22LR build...

thnx for the info on the A1 uppers, but I need an A2 for the elevation adjustment.

I don't know if your going to find an large hole A2 upper. I am not sure but were them making A2 upper when they were making the large pin uppers.

I actually prefer A1 uppers. With a 50 yard zero you can keep all rounds on a Torso from about 25 yards to 250 yards. The A2 elevation adjustment is great... For when your using irons from 300 to 600+ yards. Which I'm just not going to be doing with Irons.

What is your intended purpose for he upper? Just to match it to a large pin Lower? If so they have an adapter for that I think.

lots of options, just reviewing cost and viability at this point.

Colt made large pin A2 uppers. Some years of the Match HBAR guns used large pins.

Personally I would have the lower converted by M60 Joe. Then you can buy a standard upper.
