Have scored some decent ammo in the last week, Wal-Mart and Farm & Fleet, 1K of Winchester Q3131 5.56 on the shelf tonight at local Farm & Barn, also plenty of 45 ACP, .40, 9mm, bought 100 of the 5.56 at 11.99 box and 100 9mm at 11.00 per 50 for Blaser brass 115 FMJ. Other local Wally World had Remington .30 Carbine 110 SP for $56.00 for 50rd box, they had ALOT on the shelf for that price! Had some federal 308

Well I'll give you +1 for availability, but those prices are

Those prices are actually decent. Id love some brass 9mm for $11/50. Which fleet farm was it? If its beaver dam I know where I am making a trip to tonight. 30 carbine was a little expensive though. Should be about $24 a box of 50.

Found 5.56 (three boxes of 20) at the east Madison Farm and Fleet. At $11.99 per box (more then $0.50 per round) I passed. Gander in Madison had a bunch of .45 and .40. The .40 was WWB, $42 for 100 rounds...

I'm more interested in finding some 22LR. I can reload the other stuff but the caliber i shoot the most has vanished off the face of the Earth!

I know where your average .223 pricing was (i.e. PMC and others) but I never bought or tracked Q3131 -- where were we at on a case pre-crazy and the past couple years? I seem to recall it was still hard to come by.

In other words, how crazy is the Wally 12.xx / box or FF above compared to say last summer before Obongo II?

The 325 round boxes of Federal AutoMatch at Wally World seem to come in regularly (and go out right away). I've been able to grab a number of them.

But yes, other than that, none anywhere.

40 and 45 is available all over the Madison area. Can't get 9 .22 or 223/556 though.

Dont know if you guys are just looking local but I have been using these two sites to help me find ammo. I have found some pretty good deals like finding 100 round CCI Mini mags for $5 and finding .223 Hornady VMAX for $15. Just like local stuff you have to be fast and have an account already setup or its gone before you get it added to the cart. Hope this helps someone.

Walmart in Racine had ~8 boxes of 5.56 WWB and a few boxes of 38 special WWB and Winchester PDX.

Why is it that sporting clays are being stockpiled at stores (with price increases)? Can they not see that - #1 - people aren't shooting as much, so sporting clays will not get used as much and #2 - it's winter. I'm not going to go stand around in 20mph wind and try to get my #8 shot out far enough to hit those things.

Its funny how Biden said, "All you need is a double-barrel shotgun for protection." and the only ammo thats still packed on all shelves in any store is shotgun shells,,,hmmm...

The Super Wal Mart on the South beltline had about 10+ boxes of Tula .223 last night if you are looking, I didn't buy it, top shelf of cabinet.

Federal and American Eagle bulk packs of 22lr are now being projected at June / July for resupply. What sucks is I got my son a 22 last spring and we went through 3 boxes of Federal 525 packs and I figured I'd restock when it was was warmer and we were ready to shoot outside again. Hopefully by March / April I can snag a few boxes and keep him shooting as much as we did last summer.

It's been hard since say 2005 or 6 in my experience. $400 a case in recent, pre-crazy times. That's Q3131a, the Israelli made. The Korean Q3131 I believe was about the same availability, but I never purchased any. Q3131a is my favorite factory ball ammunition, but when PMC is $300 a case and it's $400 I'm not going to pay that premium.

That said, I did buy one case of Q3131a for $500 post panic, just because it was there at my LGS.

In single box form, it's been crazy for a long, long, time. $9.99 ish just about everywhere I saw it. Don't know why, or why people would pay that price when XM193 and PMC Bronze was available for significantly less.
