So I was at Walmart tonight for a few things, and I thought I'd check the Ammo Counter, just to see what was left. Well let me set the theme, it's maybe 10 minutes to Midnight, and the store close, there's only the clerk, and me back there, that's it, not another customer in sight, and just as I got there..... the Ammo shipment got in..... She was just putting it in the case, an entire cart full of unopened cases. Just from a quick glance I'd say maybe 5,000 or so rounds of 9mm WWB, maybe a 1,000 rounds of .40S&W WWB, another full case at least of .45ACP WWB, some 44 Magnum maybe 20 bulk packs of .22LR, and a bunch else. It was just me, and the ammo, no competition, and she said I was the first one there, just me, and the WWB goodness..... But I had no money, just enough for the things I came to get, and my lunches for the rest of the week, and I don't get paid until Thursday.

Anyway she mentioned that some guy from Gander Mountain keeps buying it all up to resell at double the price, so if you want to beet the Bastard to it, this is the Walmart at Plymouth Road, and Middlebelt in Livonia.

Have fun, leave me a box, or 2 though.

From what I recall Wamart had the WWB 9mm at $19.99 for a 100 Round Value Pack, and $29.99 for a 40S&W WWB 100 Round Value Pack.

That's about right.

The Walmart in Taylor no longer has any 9mm.

They only had 1k.  They still have about 2k .45, I think 500 .40, about 400 .38.

I've never seen wwb in .243, but they have some of that too.

This was all sitting on the counter.  Doesn't look like they're going to bother putting it away.

As of 2230 hrs last night the Wallmart in Burton (Court St.) had a couple boxes of 100 Winchester .45 ACP FMJ and some boxes of Defense .45 ACP rounds, a ton of .22, some 9mm, and even some .380.  I was told by a guy at a place I go to that .380 was damn near impossible to find in Michigan.  I don't know as I don't own one.  They had some huntimg calibres and some .44 as well.

The lady in the sporting goods section confirmed the above about Gander Mountain reps, in addition to private individuals and gun shops that buy it all up as soon as they unload and take it to gun shows to sell at twice the price.

I wasn't sure what to make of this, so I cruised out last night and hit a few WM's - Livonia and Lakeside area.  I was wearing my "freebie Gander Mountain ballcap" and was amazed at the reaction and comments from the clerks.  The sporting goods manager at Livonia asked me why I was back as I had just bought them out a few days ago.  A sporting goods employee at the M59 and Mound store said they put a limit on ammo because of me - the last time I was in that store was probably over a year ago.

Apparently all it takes to be "some guy from Gander Mountain" is to wear a Gander Mountain ballcap.  Makes you wonder if people are really that naive/stupid?

The Walmart in Taylor on Telegraph Rd. just got in 9mm Winchester White Box 100 round packs for $19.97/box. Unfortunately they only got 2 cases (10 boxes per case) and they are limiting customers to 6 boxes per customer per day. It is tucked under the sporting goods counter and is not on the shelves. I took 6 boxes at 8:00am. The store clerk says they will not get another Winchester 9mm shipment in for a month but CCI shipments are coming in almost weekly. Good luck...

The Taylor WalMart 9 mm was sold out by noon Saturday.  I did get a couple 100 rnd boxes of WWB .45 ACP and one 100 rnd box of Win .38 Spec.  There was more of both when I left.  They also had several 500 rnd packs of CCI MiniMag .22 LR.

Maybe next month for the 9 mm.  There are reports on Uzitalk of WalMarts in other states that are now getting shipments of various ammo when there had been none on the shelves for months.  Signs that the frenzy is fading?

I hit 3 Wally's driving south today.

Midland had 40-50 boxes of BB 9mm, nothing in .40 or .45.  Got my 6 boxes.  They weren't too sure about how the limit was supposed to work, so I got the 1 WWB 100 pack they had.

Flint, Corunna Rd, nothing in (mm or .45.  They had 6 WWB 100 packs in .40.

Milford, zip, zilch, nada.

My wife tried Taylor this morning.  Nothing.
