To start naturalization, you need to have had a green card for 5 years; so their target audience is actually the people that did it right, legally.
I'm somewhat familiar with that process, having completed it myself about a month back (I did my own paperwork...these guys would be an option for those afraid of .gov forms and unable to afford a lawyer)

While it is popular, the idea is based upon aiding those in obtaining citizenship. Not really sure I would call it the illegal plate. It costs more money each year.

Becoming a legal xitiEn in the United States is VERY expensive when you think of how much money you get paid for working here with a visa.

Yeah, I'm steadfastly anti-illegal immigration, but these are the folks I want to call fellow citizens. They work hard, don't ask for handouts, and have put a hell of a lot of effort into earning their citizenship. Sometimes I wish all Americans had to put forth some effort to be citizens, rather than "I was born here, give me free shit".

Since actual LEGAL "Immigrants" rather than just ILLEGAL Invaders come from all over the world why does this have to feature a Mexican theme?
Strikes me as being supportive of the So. American invaders with legal immigration as cover.

Until we can get control of the illegals it's time to close the door on ALL "Immigration".
At the least each countries quota of immigrants should be reduced 2X their illicit invasion rate.
And find a way to deal with the illegal Chinese, Russians, etc. our media ignore.

Funny thing is that ICE is more likely to kick-out an illegal Canadian than anybody else.
Bottom line is that being an Illegal is ILLEGAL, not an "immigrant".
Immigrants go through all the long and expensive hoops, invaders just jump over the border in some manner, which is still at least technically illegal.
I have no tolerance for ANY illegal regardless of origin.
They cheat all of America and their fellow countrymen who go by the rules.
If we are to have a system to manage immigration it cannot work if anyone who can sneak in gets to stay.
This is a complex subject, some nations such as China refuse to allow their citizens to be returned.
Having known illegals from all over the globe I find the butt-kissing of illegals from Mex/So. America disgusting and misleading.
If there are "Five million" illegals in this country that has to be just the more recent ones form south of our border.
That figure has to be ignoring the rest, Twenty Million is a much more believable number.
Are the folk wanting to give all illegal aliens a "Path to citizenship" even aware of just what sort of anti-American alien cultures they are also welcoming, or are they intent on a pro-hispanic form of racism that excludes all the others?
If the remaining immigration rules are not to be equally applied that will be real racism.

My own melting pot background includes several nationalities.
I have never chosen to be an "??????-American", just a plain English speaking free thinking American.

It's the creation of overwhelmingly socialist leaning ethnic ghettos which refuse to assimilate American culture that traps their inhabitants in crime and disease rates unknown to the rest of America, not "Racism".
Too much of this becomes multi-generational, entrenched, excused, and finally demanding of our acceptance. Followed with endless "Welfare" programs to fix innate problems without the only real solutions being allowed or even considered.
As I said, a complex subject when not reduced to the inane, untrue, and simplistic "Illegal immigrants are not criminals" the liberals and other exploiters bleat at every opportunity.
This subject could easily consume an entire website of it's own, it probably does fill several in addition to the "Reconquiesta" movement which is being allowed to proceed unhindered.
