TD -

I am sorry to see that. Was it a smash and grab? May be there was an earlier thread that I missed (sorry?).
Glad that no one was hurt.

I am responsible for the repairs which is pretty standard with a commercial lease.

I know they got a new Springfield M1A1 Scout rifle SN:300965 along with a few other items.

We still haven't completed checking the inventory so there may be a few beater rifles that I haven't missed.

Did the cops question that green guy with the jacked up teeth?

Actually on second though. If I had a large metal pole stuck up my ass, I'd be a little cranky too.

Ugggg, that's DEFINATELY NOT gonna buff right out!!!

Obviously there are advantages to having a shop no one can find!!! <knocks vigorously on wood>

That's gonna be a pretty pricey repair unless you know some outa work trade people who are NOT outa work due to incompetence.

I have considered some LARGE concrete planters for the front of my place. They may be a ~bit~ more expensive, but look a lot better than bollards, they are not quite so "in your face" screaming security, BUT, work as well, don't really require "professional" installation, and ~may~ be easier to get past a picky city hall/zoning dept. The city of Madison would have a complete conniption fit if I tried for bollards, but I suspect I could sneak planters in, as long as I wasn't stupid enough to try to ask for permission first....

Best of luck! I hope they catch the bastards and order restitution!!!! (Though I'm sure it'll take them 10 years to get out of the hooskow, then they'll end up paying you $3.78/month through their probation officer)

I'm going to let the insurance company deal with that but I somehow think the transmission shop was negligent but to what extent I haven't a clue.
