dpmmn just left my office. Since we are both getting itchy trigger fingers, he decided let's try to schedule a shoot for Sunday the 25th of September. That way we don't have to wait for October's shoot!
Cost will be $20 for the day. Only 2 conditions: No full-auto or bump-firing. No Tannerite. We'll save that for the next shoot. Part of Kenny's agreement with the locals is to keep it more "quiet" on Sundays, so no machine gunning and blowing stuff up. Sound off if you are going!!! |
I'll be there like ammo in a magazine
I have a new pony to test out |
I'll definitily try to make it...my Saturday is shot due to work, hopefully it won't spill over into Sunday.
Shouldn't you have been WORKING!?!? Or were you refinancing his house!?
Doesn't your BOSS get angry with you about wasting company time!?!?!? Oh... Nevermind... Edited to add: Dammit. I've already got plans for that weekend. I need to get a little bit more financially stable before I can actually get out & shoot some more. I'm getting WAAAAAAAY beyond broke at the moment. |
Damnit, I work Second Shift (dpmmn ~>) (<~iNuh) |
mind if the newest MN afcom member comes along?
only have about 60 down the tube, on a dpms kit might need someone to teach me how to avoid jams( I AM THE MORON). OH YEAH DIRECTIONS PLEASE. ( DO THEY THINK A HARLEY IS TO LOUD?? IF SO WILL TAKE THE GAS GUZZZZZLER. THANKS |
Okay... Now back to my regularly scheduled daily activity. (ETA: J/K) |
Here are directions from a link to the Defensive Edge web site. Might want to take a look around on the site too. He has some great courses. They run a tank up there so the Harley won't even be noticed. www.defensive-edge.net/directions.html |

I am there, one question though, if there is no bump firing or full auto fire wouldnt our group be banned by default?
We will all take turns firing one shot at a time. Then we will congratuate each other and talk about how big of buck we are gonna blow away this year. |

It's a pretty good chance I can make it. If anyone is bringing and M1A I'll pick up a box or 2 of .308. I'm thinking about seeing if I can come up with the cash to buy one, but I want to make sure I'll like it first.
I dont have a M1A, but I plan on bringing my M14 up, will that work? |
But there is no FA on Sundays. Oh wait, it's not FA so it's not really an M14 then is it? |
I knew that was comming! |
Dam! The same day as my birthday!
I'll be at the cabin otherwise I would be there! When is the next one? October anyone? |
I'm not on call until the following Monday. I think I can make this one.

I'll bring my M1A to the meet...you tell me if its a POS or not I've put over 2k rounds in it. Not one SINGLE FTF, FTE, any failure. Can't say the same about any other single firearm I own. Well..not entirely true; my Colt M4 upper has never had a failure on any of the lowers it's been on, and it's passed the 3k mark. Yes, even the AUG has had a failure or two |
Hey, what time is this starting? Being that it is a Sunday and all are we going to have to start later?
what he said and is it in the pit? |
Death451 owns a couple of M1A's. He just likes to give dpmmn crap |

So, start time is what. Noon or so?
A friend from work may be coming up with me...he's not on the board, and this will be the 2nd time in his life he's ever shot a gun First time was a couple months ago and he got to try out my M4gery, my 1911, and my M9...he's psyched to come to one of these things. ETA: Woot, another friend from work wants to join in, too. Guess I gotta bring the L1A1 as he was former Canadian Army, and he carried the FN... |
Allright guys...................here is the deal
We start shooting at NOON!!!! So I plan on getting there sometime after 11:20 am |
F(**^&*&*&^KKING WORK CALLED
Dam wanted to go and meet everyone. |
Folks, that was a great shoot! I know I had to leave a little early and I apologize; my friend and I both needed to head back to work and double-check some stuff before the Euro financial markets opened.
Thank you, everyone, for making my friend feel at home; he was kind of nervous about going out with a bunch of people he didn't know, but he had an absolute ball. To everyone who was there, it was nice seeing you again, and meeting those I haven't met before! |
Sorry I missed it. Been working on a project since Friday morning. On the up side it is almost complete.
Not that I saw..as it was a Sunday, there was no FA, no Tannerite, etc. Just a bunch of guys, no fancy explosions.
Then again, I left around 2:30 or so, so someone may have bought a camera afterwards.. |
I split early too, my SOCOM was having teething problems and it was pissing me off. Oh well back to SA. The consensus was the too tight a chamber.
Holy shit, everything is soaked, I know what I'm doing the rest of the day |
Yah, thats the only thing we can figure; when it heats up, the chamber constricts, and...well, there ya go. You might try soaking a mop or chamber brush in Flitz or something, stick it on an electric drill, and Flitz away until it's good, but...well, heh, kinda hard to fit a drill in there. I've already gone through a can of WD40 spraying everything down, trying to get all the water off. I need to stock up on more WD40. And, of course, since this is the first shoot I've been to since I've moved out here...I realized I left all my cleaning rods back at the old homestead I was using boresnakes before for a quick clean, and was holding off for a full major clean until I got my rods...whoops. Guess I gotta hit Gunstop or something and pick up new rods in .22 and .30... |
I wish I could have made the shoot. But I will be there for the Oct. shoot.
I got the top half of that lawn mower sitting on the fridge to fall off right at the end of the day I wanted to see the whole thing come tumbling down, but we didn't have ----> |
I forgot that my camera was in my truck |
My gal woke up yesterday blowing chunks and feeling generally terrible, so I stayed home with her. Sounds like you guys/gals had a good time.
