Few of us have been kicking the idea around to have a small dinner or get together. So far it's been suggested to have it at a place with a bar that will let us hang around after we eat and that it be in a no smoking section or place. I'd say that's all more than reasonable. I'm voting for Little Rock as it's Central, easy to get to, and has convienant hotels in case anyone gets a little to rowdy. Normally I'd volunteer my place if someone or even a couple of people needed to hang out for a night before driving but that's a no-go right now. So list your suggestions on places dates, etc. I should be good most any Friday or Saturday night. I do go to TON'S bar in Morgan every other Friday night but that can be changed easily. Let me know and I'll link this to GD for our members that don't come to the HT forum much.
January 14th at La Palapa in West Little Rock. Everyone cool with that? |
I say we wait until after the holidays - too many people in and out of town. I vote for Little Rock as well.
Sound pretty cool, but I'm with Cajun, after Christmas/New Years would prolly be better.
1.5 hours from Little Rock. May have a hard time convincing the wife, but maybe I could take her shopping before or after.
I will be traveling a lot over the next two-three months and the schedule is not set yet. So, don't count me as a for sure yet. |

Well since no one else has made a eatery suggestion yet, I will.
I was thinking somewhere with good food, beer, and not to crowded with a non smoking area. My suggestion is La Palapa out on Cantrel/Hwy 10 built out of a old gas station. I dont know how many of you like real mexican food, but its my favorite mexican eatery in little rock. Its also farely cheap compared to the big names, and they have a full bar, every kind of mexican and american beer you can think of. Doesnt have to be here, I'm just throwing around some thoughts. m4geek |

I'm in, just to see how disfigured Dusty really is.
I'm in Arkadelphia, so L.R. is no problem for me. |

I might be in....If I'm not butt deep in moving to a new house.
If we get there early enough, we could all piss on the Klinton Massage Parlor/Presidential Museum.

Not too bad. The earrings do get you attention. |

But is it the wrong kind of attention? |
Actually I didn't notice anything but a few glances. And being a damn near bald 6 foot guy the size of a bull, I expect those anyway. |
Now ya got me wanting to see what ya look like, in a strictly heterosexual way, of course. So any idea when this shindig will take place? |

Dusty
You're completely different then who I thought you were! But I still remember seeing you in Trents a few times. |
lol, I probably know ya then, I only know one or 2 other people that were in there much that have the intelligence to type

hahahahahhaha, my other ex wife works at hobby lobby right next to that walmart. They spill over
Early to mid January sounds good to me!
LOL, you look a lot different that what I remember from 17 or so years ago...... My little brother has those same metal things (whatever you call them) in his ears too. His remind of the african tribes on the discovry channel!! |
It's been 19 years lol. I moved off blueberry when I was 6, and I'm 25 now. I'm still trying to figure out how I have blonde hair in that pic.
Ok ya'll, Its January 1, the holidays are over, things are slowing down. Time to start plannin.
I think we're leaning towards La Palapa. It's off Hwy 10 in West Little Rock, really easy to find. Get to talkin about it people! |
Lets do it! Now all we need is a date.
I am guessing that all the members who do not live in Little Rock would be more willing to do it on a weekend. But my guess has been wrong before, so these guys need to speak up and let us know when is the best time for each person and then we can get a general concensus on when to have it. I think we should also try to get a idea of how many are going to show up. I really dont see it being a lot of people, but the more the marrier. If there for some reason turns out to be a abundance of folks, we would need to call a head and let the restraunt know for that specific date. m4geek |
I'll Start....
generall any date would work for me. I travel with my job so I never know when I will be gone. So date doesnt matter to me, if I am here I will be there. m4geek |
MoparMike,
what days are are good for you? As far as Monday - Sunday? If everyone could let us know which days are good, that would be great! m4geek |
ARKAN, much to your dismay, I was called "a pretty normal lookin" guy by an arfcommer last night Friday or Saturday is best for me. But this coming up weekend is out. |
So far, it is looking for like a Saturday or a Sunday from what I am hearing.
If this actually works out and everyone gets along, maybe week could have a get together either once a month or once every two months. Keep it coming. If you havent already, let us know when would be a good day for you to have a meet/greet/eat with us fellow gun geeks. m4geek |
I work an alternating shift, the days I'm working this week, I'm off the next...hopefully the dice will allow me to make it...
How about next Saturday (Jan 14th)? I work that day but I get off at 7pm.
I may be in, it just depends on exactly when it is. Weekends would be better for me though.
I was actually thinking the same thing.......JAN 14th.
What does everyone think of the 14th? m4geek |
I probably can't make it will after tax season but I'll do what I can to help anyways.
And try to keep all discussion about it on this thread. That way I can tack it (like its gonna get lost here) .Mayebe we can get Dusty to update his first post with details as we go. Also, we need to get some details going for a spring shoot. |
The 14th is fine by me.
Hell all the excitement is kinda over now though, since I hear dusty is kinda normal. I was hoping for a real freak show. Thought maybe Dusty was the inspiration for this guy, . |
14th it is then. At La Palapa at 7:30 pm.
La Palapa 18321 Cantrell Rd Little Rock, AR 72223 (501) 868-8822 ETA. My cell is 501-398-0635 if anyone has any questions. If you don't know my name, you probably can't figure out how to dial my number |
I forsee this number making its way to many men's room walls across the central Arkansas area. |

I would love to make it, but as of today, my wife is full term in her pregnancy. An out of town trip is out of the question for me until Jr. gets here.
Hope you all have a blast, maybe I can join you on the next one. |
I will try to be there. I am driving a charter bus up here in Fayettenam for the basketball game at 2pm, so 730 might be a stretch depending on how long the game lasts.
I will be there.....If anyone from NWA wants to catch a ride, let me know.
My wife and I will try to make it. We live really close, in Ferndale. Dusty, I will give you a call this week if we can make it. How many people does it look like will be able to make it?
