I haven't found any "good" deals for ammo in the Portland metro area, but there is OutdoorMarksman in Salem.  They are Miwall distributors and attend the gun shows at the Expo Center.  I tend to shoot all Q3131A these days.  OutdoorMarksman sold me 3000 rounds for $150/1000.  Sometimes its $130/1000 and sometimes its $170/1000, depending on who their show competition is.

If you go to their warehouse in Salem, is next to the Salem Airport.  They are closed Friday - Sunday to attend shows.

There is a Sportsman Warehouse in the 9400 block of 82nd Ave. Prices aren't too bad.

I'll second OutdoorMarksman. They have XM193 for 84.75/500. They also have pretty good prices for .45 ACP but the availability is spotty. They also do web sales at outdoormarksman.com and one of the supers I talked to at a show said the shipping to Portland was very competitive. I saw them at the Canby show but not Hillsboro. I think they have a link off their site listing the shows they plan to attend.

Keiths in Portland has some good offers in the Nickle Ads.  $110/1000 for Wolf.  Haven't been there though as I called once and they were out at the time.  Since then I just go through Ammoman.com.  The price difference is about what I would burn in gas going into Portland.

I'll also throw up a reccomendation for Outdoor Marksman in Salem - www.outdoormarksman.com

$110/1000rds of Wolf .223 isn't the greatest deal.  OMC sells it for $95.95/1000rds

They've got real good prices on Federal (Lake City) XM193, Winchester Q3131 (US) and Q3131A (Israeli) stuff too.

Check 'em out.  Friendly people, excellent prices!

Cool beans.

Thx for the local info.

In my 3 years of searching I haven't found a reliable dealer of quality 5.56 in the portland area.

I've been forced to deal with the gunshows (which you have to pay to get into) or order online(pay shipping).

There was a 6 month period over a year ago when keith's had south african for decent price.

Actually he had XM193 last time I was in there, I'll call to get an update on the price.
