So the wife unit informed me that she wanted to see a movie today. I had heard of this place and driven past it several times but had no idea what it was like.

Honestly it was pretty sweet. Parking was closeby and free if you see a movie [Sundays are free no matter what]. Ticket prices were a little higher than normal [$12 for regular, $16 for 3D]. One thing about this theater- it's 18+. if someone is under 18, they must be accompanied by someone 21+. Totally OK to bring kids with you, they even have a kid's menu. I guess they were trying to keep it more adult centered.
Once you get your tickets at the box office you go in and the guy who takes your tickets gives you menus and directs you to which theater your movie is in. There is a full bar in the lobby. It didn't look like any other concessions were available in the lobby.
Inside was pretty neat. All seats are office type chairs. Fully adjustable tilt and height. Seating was at long bars, and staggered stadium style. About midway down there were 3-4 tables for two, but most seating was bar style about 10 seats wide.

There are signal switches in front of every seat. Look through the menu, hit the call button and a waiter/waitress swings by. Order drinks, appetizers, meals etc. Prices were reasonable, think bar and grill style. $10 cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, salads, deserts etc. They'll even bring popcorn.

Overall a pretty good experience. My only reservation is I kinda have this rule about seeing the food I'm about to eat. Being in a movie theater made that kind of difficult.

Definitely not a weekly visit but pretty cool to do once in a while. Due to the location [Buckhead] this is strictly a weekend only deal for us.

*My GPS wanted me to take Lenox, but Piedmont was much easier.*

Wow. I took my girlfriend there a couple years back and we were kinda impressed, the tickets were $5 (matinee price) but refills were not free and being very thirsty people that we are it didn't work out for us. We'll have to go back. I love the whole concept of eating real food while seeing a movie.

I'm sure you're right, we went and saw Burn After Reading, so it was a couple years ago at least. And I'm not sure they were charging for refills but the vibe I got was they were not free. The waitress, while very attentive, never offered to give us refills something I've found out to indicate refills were not free. That and they gave us huge glasses. So I could of been way wrong, but since no one was asking to refill our drinks I just assumed they were not free.

So, what did you see?

Green Hornet. It was actually pretty damn funny. The guy who played Kato stole the movie. The 3D didn't totally piss me off either.

We were gonna see True Grit, and still plan on it next week. I had some bad intel on showtimes. We were planning on eating lunch there and didn't want to wait another two hours.

Not for you. Although I think that I saw a complete goat for $69.95. I'd hope after two of those you wouldn't be hungry.`

I can't speak to the theater but  I will say that True Grit is AMAZING! Might be the best Coen bros movie yet and Jeff Bridges is awesome.

It wasn't gormet, but it wasn't terrible.  Food was akin to chilis or apple bees. Not great but not bad either.  Guess it all depends on what you order.

it was the price/quality that got me

maybe its changed since I went (over a year ago) but as it was I'd prefer chilis or apple bees at that price

It looks and sounds like the place has been remodeled recently.  My wife and I used to go there a few times a year before we had kids.  It wasn't bad and at least I could enjoy a few beers while I was trapped watching a chick flick.  We always arrived early though since the seats filled up pretty quickly.

You nailed it.  Whenever my girlfriend wants to see a chick flick I suggest Fork and Screen so I can have a few beers to help the time pass.
