I will be standing in line at 0900. Anyone want to say hello? We could get together and get some of the $6 burgers and $4 drinks. One thing at least, AGCA has very little jerky and jewelry, almost all gun related.

looks like I will be able to make it to the show unless something comes up at the last minute.  Is this show pretty good size?  I know the last show I was at in Birmingham (May was the last one if I remember right) was a small show.  But then it wasn't put on by AGCA.  Also how is the show for finding receivers (AK, FAL, AR-15) and other gun parts?  THanks for any help.

Anyone want to meet up for Breakfast before the show?
Link Posted: 7/14/2003 3:35:05 AM EDT

what time would you want to meet?  I would just have to adjust the time I leave to get there on time.  Also what restaurant?

I have a change in plans! This Saturday, 19 July I am leaving to go pick up my grandson for his first visit with granddad and gramma alone. He and I will be at the show on Sunday morning when the doors open. He loves guns and shooting as well as flying in helicopters, so he naturally loves being with granddad.

I dont really know what is around there, is there a cracker barrel close, anyone?  anyone?

how about 830 - 9, be at the show at 10?

I can do earlier if need be.

closest cracker barrel is back on 65 heading south to montgomery.  Now what exit number is that...???  I am not sure if there is one closer, but the one I am thinking of is about 8-10 miles from the civic center.  Hopefully someone will know which one I am thinking of and can correct me if there is a closer one.

edit:  for I-65 there is one at exit 246 and one at exit 271.  246 is near pelham, exit 271 being near gardendale.  (thanks to the cracker barrel website)

Ill be the big tall guy in the red AGCA shirt that is too tight (its the biggest they got, but not big enough)

so who all wants to meet at cracker barrel for breakfast before the show, and which cracker barrel would be better (pelham or gardendale)?  Figure we should decide before saturday morning, lol.

I am coming in from the north, so exit 271 is great for me. Post an OK, and we will be there!!

Saturday works best for me.  If i miss church on Sunday for a gun show my wife would kick my butt, lol.  Anyways...Does Saturday around 8:30-8:45 sound good?  Exit 271 cracker barrel right?  Where does everyone want to meet, in the parking lot before going inside?  If we can agree on the day and time I can IM my cell number to you.

I am also thinking of bringing some stuff for trading at the show, is anyone else?

How about the 0830 time stated Sundy morning, in the parking lot at the Cracker Barrel at exit 271. I will be in a green extended cab Chevy truck with a bed cover on it.

I'm going to pass on the breakfast thing seeing that I can't make it sunday.  I will hopefully be able to do the Aug 9th shoot for Mike's Bday and can see you all there.  I would love to do the sunday thing, but my wife likes to have church be a family deal.

Hey, if you guys come sunday, Ill only be there in the afternoon.

Was helping set up tonight, saw lots of ammo, LOTS of ammo. Several major ammo dealers.
There may be some Used USGI 30s for bout $16-$18 if I remember right. Lots of mags and Parts, At least one major AR parts supplier, the obligatory gunsafe dealer, and a couple of reloading guys.

was there anyone selling ar, ak, or fal receivers?  And did ammo prices look good from what you noticed?

Exit 271 = Gardendale?  I probably won't do the gun show, but I just might make the breakfast.

I couldnt tell prices, I just had to carry stuff in. And I didnt see any AK of FAL recievers, but I didnt see much stuff, mainly boxes of stuff. I did see some AR recievers, both stripped (I think) and complete lowers (Iknow that for a fact.)

Day 1--- I saw no FAL or AK recievers. There were lots of complete guns, but no recievers.
I did see on Beta C mag for $375, and it was a preban. I wish I had some more money!

The show looked pretty good Saturday.  RPB wasn't there which was a bummer for me, but there were lots of AR items and a fair amount of SAR1's.  Ammo and MAgs looked plentiful.  Hope you all find what you need.

Sniper, What do you need? I stock a number of items for AR15/M16, as well as a number of other weapons. I have some great C-3 Mag loaders for the AR 7.62X39, new in the box and unopened. I just got some M-4 7 position stocks in and they are great. Let me know if you need anything.

Hey guys!! Breakfast was great at the Cracker Barrel, sorry you missed us. I had two of the calender girls from Liddys calender with me and they were very disappointed to have missed y'all. Oh well maybe next time, I just love those TINY LITTLE outfits they wear!!

no one showed up for breakfast?  What did the calender girls look like hinking.gif?  What I am looking for that I didn't see at the show was an AR-7 .22LR.  I am getting one from another board member on Saturday (if all goes well) but would like to get a second one also. Also I am looking for FAL receiver and AK receiver.  Once I get my FAL and AK projects finished then I will finally do an AR15.  If anyone can help that would be great.

Hey Notso , I bought that Beta mag!!! Best deal I've ever gotten at a Gun Show! Was that you I was talking too while I was buying it?? They also had pre-ban NIW Center 30 rounders for $20 each, but by time I paid for the Beta mag and the 3 dollar coke I only had twelve bucks left.

I'm sorry i missed breakfast!

I had to take care of the little one this morning and just couldnt get going...

Wish to hell I had enough money for a Beta mag... I was one for 800 at another table, i guess that guy really wanted to sell his!

Any way hope you guys all make it to the FOP shoot on  Aug 9.
