What happened in NH is happening all across this country. People flee the true blue states like MA, CA, CT, NY, NJ to places like AZ, NH and elsewhere and they bring their liberal voting habits with them ruining the state they settle in. Their like a virus that destroys the host cell and then moves on to destroy the next one.

Is it at all possible to change a blue state, like say CT to a red state....obviously not over night, but could it be done?  Has it happened before?
Just curious.

Is it possible? Any thing's possible. We saw that yesterday in action. One sure way to change the color of CT is to get people into your local town office and begin making effective changes at reducing spending/taxes. People like free stuff, but they also like to have more of the money they earn (or are given) in their pockets. Reducing taxes and reducing spending may help. Once you get enough towns converted over to non progressive and people see that it actually can work when you reduce spending and lower taxes then that will filter upwards to the state level as people then question why the state cannot do what the locals are doing successfully. Eventually it will trickle upwards to the federal level. All it takes is time and dedication to fight against those who have a vested financial/emotional interested in keeping things status quo.

But that's not likely to happen any time soon, if ever. There are simply too many people who don't pay taxes. They don't care if you balance the budget and lower taxes. What they do care about is not cutting government services they rely on. They don't care if those services are driving the state and federal governments into bankruptcy. People know we need to fix things like Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid but THEY don't want to be affected, so it becomes the 3rd rail and nothing is done about it. We saw an example of this out of FL yesterday where the elderly vote against Romney/Ryan because the MSM convinced them, by lying, that Ryan wants to take their government benefits away.

I suspect what we saw yesterday was the beginings of the European protests here on our own soil. The media scared those who rely on government services/money into believing that Romney/Ryan/Republicans were going to cut their benefits/money. We possibly witnessed the first nation wide austerity protest yesterday. Which once again results in the can being kicked down the road for someone else (the grandkids) to deal with.

The exodus of wealth in this country will continue. Entitlements must end, and end damn soon.

Look at it this way, Obama will be in power when the economy goes over the fiscal cliff and joins europe at the bottom. That wy there is no one else to blame but him and his divide and conquor ass.  Ah who the hell am i kidding, they will just blame bush again.

Anyone who thinks differently is smoking crack. They will be blaming Bush for the next 20 years.

Ive already heard of small business owners that were hoping for a romney win  will be laying off workers due to obamacare costs.

I went to bed last night in NH and woke up this morning in northern Mass FML

After cooling for s bit I have taken a more positive out look. Repubs gained in Congress that will be a a bit of a resistive force.
Main issues for me? I'm 53, will I be denied care at some point if I need a costly procedure when I am old and useless ?
Stock market took s dive today shocker and gold went up is my 401k gonna get crushed?
The SCOTUS will be huge, my calculations say nobama will get to appoint 2 justices. The Senate does the appointment confirmations, Dems have the majority. No blocking activist judges.
More urgent is the war on coal, that's where I make my living. Maybe because my company works to keep coal use clean and efficient we can survive.
If I lose my career again who is going to hire a guy in his late 50's early  60's?
That will probably force me to a free state down south.

On a positive note both my rep, Rob Sampson and my state senator Joe Markely got reelected in a land slide, both strong 2A advocates and conservatives in Hartford. Good job Wolcott/ Southington, the State of Texas in the middle of the gulag.

I do feel like us hard working folk will be used like the human batteries in the Matrix, drained to support the loser class .

Listen, I almost hope the shtf. I can survive on my wits and skills while the GP is unable to hunt fish farm or work with their hands.
